Curious:

What do we know about the status of Bodo Bodo, and is the Italian guy enrolled and hopefully committed for next year?

Italian guy is out for the year and Bodo is basically in that Baylor state of injury where he could return next game or be out for the year. Sound familiar? Hah

Bodo could sub in at any second...or his career might be over. Unclear.

What is "the Italian guy's" name? Was he expected to play this season prior to injury?

Maikcol Perez. I'm not sure when or how, but he tore an ACL.

I think there was some earlier debate over whether he would have been more of a developmental guy this year, or a rotation player. I lean more towards developmental, as most young international players tend to be. Big, strong body w/ many skills though.

But obviously w/ the Bodo injury, we could have used the body regardless.

I think OP was actually referring to a rumor from the Premium board that, if Bodo Bodo can't come back for conference play, we have a Euro big who is evidently locked in to join the team at semester break.

I'm the OP and I'm not on the premium board, so I wasn't asking about someone arriving at semester break. I was just asking if there was news on either Bodo or the freshman from Italy who injured his knee. While young, his international experience, size and skill set seems interesting. I hope he hangs around and contributes one day.

I think the silver lining is that he gets a medical redshirt so we can still contribute 4 years.

Bodo is a mystery.
