I didn't get to watch much because I was covering a game at the same time, but I was keeping up with the score/stats, and it looked like that was one of our better defensive efforts of the year.

I'll take wins anyway they come at this point, but this was a good one because it wasn't one I expected at all. West Virginia is cut from the same cloth as TCU and Cincinnati (good defense, bad offense), so I expected this one to go like those did. But for the first time in Big 12 play, we didn't make a bad offensive team look way better than they are.

So good win for the good guys. Unfortunately, we're going to have steal three more and beat all of the bottom-feeders to have any chance to salvage this season, and I have trouble seeing that happening.

We've gotta get those 4 winnable games ... And 2 outta ISU . Arizona.. BYU.. Houston.. UCF. To get to 8 league wins.. .that's gonna be the rough part.

Knocking off Louisville would be a nice resume piece
