9th grade basketball

I wonder how dedicated CSD really is at this point in his career. Sometimes when one reaches the top, motivation starts to decrease. Either the players are not listening to him or understanding him or he and staff are not putting in the required off court time to learn how to run plays that don't consist of contested 3s with 2 seconds on the clock.,

Almost impossible to win against quality opponents without a PG and a decent big. This team doesn't have either.
Williams has good potential and is really the only one who can create shots on his own. Hope we can keep him.

Not sure what happened to Agbim and Rataj, but both move like they are 40+ years old. Big misses in the portal - but they both were pretty highly ranked.

Just a bad roster. Some of it is on CSD. But, to be fair, ask yourself: would RWIII leading this team make a difference? I think they would likely have 2-4 more wins - likely a few over these ranked teams at home.

Hopefully CSD learned his lesson and we don't see an entirely new roster next year.

Not this year. Unless they miraculously win the B12 tourney.

We are the 75th ranked team according to Lunardi so would have to jump 11 teams .

We'd have to win 4 more conference games and at the least make it to finals in KC.

I'm the eternal optimist but ain't happening.

The thing is, there are previous Scott Drew teams that have gone on significants runs to sneak into the tournament before. If it was any of those teams except this team, I'd believe that he could do it. But this team has reached its ceiling and the ceiling is short. In his other teams, they had ceilings that they hadn't yet reached until late season and they kept climbing as the season went on. If this team really was better, they would have shown it by now.

This league is a beast

It is every year but this year is off the charts. I watched Tech-Arizona last weekend and Houston -Iowa st last night and Kansas-Arizona last week and each game was better than the last.

This Baylor team would have a . 500.confernce record any other year. The new additions like BYU.. UA.. and Houston have turned this league into The Group of Death.

I agree, but only to an extent. The Big 12 is rather top heavy and it is the best in country only due to that fact. Baylor lost to a Louisville team that while ranked, is not just off the charts. I do not think Baylor would be .500 in conference any other year due to its significant flaws-namely no PG, no effective big guy around the basket, and most importantly a complete lack of any offensive identity, which Drew should have been able to establish by now but has not.

You just described last year's team other than no PG..and he was a TO machine ..and that team made the tournament. This year Baylor team would probably beat last year's Baylor team.

When Kansas is a middle of the pack team.. your conference is loaded.

When a TCU team can beat the defending national champs... Your conference is loaded.

Nope. This team blows, man.

We've trailed by double digits in 12 of the 19 games we've played against real teams this season and by 15-plus in more than half of those.

You've got to call a spade a spade. This is a ****ty team coached poorly.

This team is so undisciplined it's almost unwatchable.....during 1 possession tonight, Carr attempted to block back to back 3 point shots on simple head fakes....we can't rotate off the ball and create space - - not sure what offense we actually are running...extremely low basketball IQ....

Drew say anything post game that can be used "for cause" firing????

And with this loss the Baylor San Hedrin has completed the total and utter destruction of baylor athletics top to bottom to cover up their sins and incompetence.

Thankfully sniffed it out from day 1 and never gave another dollar since.

Run your institution like a church covering for a pastor and this what ya get. Historic and very expensive destruction. They will never recover.

We will agree to disagree. I failed to mention that aside from no point guard, no effective bigs down low, and no offensive identity, we also have the worst defense I have ever seen since the early days of Scott Drew. That defensive ineptitude is the main factor in why I believe you are rating this team higher than it ought to be.
