IMO we actually have one of the best TV views in college basketball now. From somewhere near last to as good as any now. It was refreshing to see the athletic department take the feedback and improve the overall experience.

That was yet another unforced error by the ever out-of-touch Mack Rhoades. And it took way longer than it should have for him to acknowledge and fix it.

Thank God that guy is gone.

Sitting at the Utah game Saturday my wife commented that they built the camera bays at the top of the arena without figuring out how bad the angle was, and now they are completely useless.

I am glad it was fixed. But the mistake was highly preventable if Rhoades would have done his job in the first place.

I was as happy when Rhoades departed as well, but I have it from a very, very, very reliable source that Scott played a large role in the selection of the original camera angles. Scott, himself, said he did. So as easy as it has become to blame everything on Mack, he wasn't the only one in this case. The important thing is that someone, whoever it was, listened and corrected it.

Even if you are correct, and you probably are, the buck is supposed to end with the AD. In another vein- what possessed CSD to ever think the original camera angles were a swell idea?

That's not Scott Drew's job. As the leader of the athletic department, it was well within Rhoades' scope to say, "You know what, Scott, I love you but shooting the game from space is actually not a good idea. People will (quite justifiably) complain, and it's not worth the unnecesary headache."
