Yeah, but most recent coaches who made the college-to-NBA jump have wanted some level of control over personnel decisions, too. The disparity is so large that GS could reduce the pay by $5.5 million annually and still double Golden's pay from last season. The NBA payscale is simply on another level than even the top level of NCAA.
