Boo, hate me some LeBron. The most overhyped, overpraised, overpaid, overrated pro athlete ever.

Nah, he's an all-time great. Just not great at his public persona.

Nope, he's ass. I get a good laugh everytime I see someone ranking him in their Top 10 all-time NBA players; it becomes comedy gold when they say he's Top 3 or, heaven forbid, even #1.

Just for the heck of it here's a list of 15 pre-2000 NBA players that I rank ahead of LeBron:
Kareem Abdul Jabbar
Elgin Baylor
Larry Bird
Wilt Chamberlain
Clyde Drexler
Julius Erving
George Gervin
Magic Johnson
Michael Jordan
Moses Malone
Hakeem Olajuwon
David Robinson
Bill Russell
Isaiah Thomas
Bill Walton

There's more that fall in the same sorta range as Lebron like McHale, K. Malone, Barkley, E. Hayes, Pippen, Ewing, Stockton, Worthy. Then you've got to talk about all the more current guys that play/played post 2000.

Man..thats a scorching bad take...there's maybe 3 or 4 on that list better than him..

And none of them were averaging 21/7/6 at age 42 for Christ's sake.

Did any of them have the benefit of being able to play without concern of having fouls called on them, or play knowing they could walk all over the court and not have it called on them?

Didn't think so.

Let's hope VJ has a great year despite being teammates with the biggest prima donna in NBA history.

3-4?!! There's literally 1 name on that list better. I dislike Lebron as much as anyone. But let's be realistic here. It's Jordan followed by LeBron. Not sure any sane person can say otherwise

That's so laughable it doesn't justify a response. I know you're young, but c'mon.....there's plenty of video out there of Bird, Chamberlain, Gervin, Magic, Malone, Hakeem, Russell, etc. You need to binge watch the "old guys" and educate yourself a bit before you proclaim only MJ better than Lebron. The prima donna couldn't sniff any of those guys jocks. Fact.

I need to educate myself? That's rich from a poster trying to convince me players like Clyde Drexler and George Gervin are better than LeBron.
You're letting a personal distain cloud reality. It's not even worth arguing about because not 1 person with an ounce of BB IQ young or old would make such a ridiculous statement

It's Drexler & Gervin numb nuts, you can't possibly know how great they were if you don't even know their names.
So yes.......educate yourself.

Drexker? Gavin? are you for real?

Regardless of Iowa's fat-fingering their names, you are the first person I've ever seen seriously suggest that either Clyde Drexler or George Gervin should be rated above Lebron James in ranking all-time NBA players.

I get that it's your opinion, but man...it's a really bad opinion.

Haha I corrected the spelling dad. Now give me 1 reason those 2 are better. This requires an in depth response.

I'm 59..I've seen everyone you listed play except Elgin Baylor...Chamberlain..and Russell..like I said..theres no more than a couple on that list...maybe Jabbar..

But hell no to Drexler and Gervin..you might as well have Tim Legler and J.J. Reddick on your list.

I didn't realize so many Baylor fans liked to slobber all over Lebron's crotch. Geez, y'all can keep living in your fantasy world, but I'm gonna stay right here in reality.
