The fact that Gruver beat Martin's Mill by double-digits in the semifinals tells us they're pretty dang good. We'll see how good this afternoon.

And Brock lost on a free throw with four seconds left after digging out of an early 19-4 hole and rallying from a late five-point deficit to tie the game with 17 seconds remaining. I didn't see the game, but I really hope that was a legit foul and not a 50-50 call that decided that game.

Turnabout's fair play, I guess. Liberty Hill beat Decatur on a go-ahead 3-pointer at the buzzer in the semifinals and coincidentally won by the exact same score (53-51).

DFW Metroplex stomped Houston area.
Three champions come from S. Dallas; Duncanville (6A), Faith Family Academy of Oak Cliff (4A), Madison (3A). One was from S. Tarrant county, Mansfield Timberview (5A)

Shelbyville (2A) had an unbelievable run to the championship. Closest game was the championship game where Shelbyville beat Gruver by 19 points.

Refs were pretty good. There are always missed calls, but for the most part they called good games and stayed out of the way.

I think Clayton had 15 points in the final.

I believe he led all scorers in the tournament

My bro in law is above 3 life school ath. depts in south dallas area. He said Family faith hired the coach from cedar hill (paid him 100k) and he brought all his players and coaches. They apparently wanted a state title at all costs.

There was a UIL email going around about punishment but UIL didn't want to mess with it. Gave it to the local school district to take action. They haven't yet.

Their team looked like an All Star team from the 90's 4A teams. Long, Athletic, and fast.

They used to be 2a and my brother's school went head to head with them for about 5 years btw 10-15 yrs ago.

High School game just as tainted as the college game. Been that way for some time now.


I wasn't able to go besides Steele/Klien Forest on friday night. We had our 4th baby boy on wednesday afternoon!
