If the opponent misses 2 FTs the bear pit gets a free cupcake from Magnolia.
It was better last year when they gave away gutpaks.
Magnolia has done this promotion for the past few games. I've never had one, but I've heard their cupcakes are very good. I bet they are priced that way. It's brilliant advertising on their part.whitetrash said:If the opponent misses 2 FTs the bear pit gets a free cupcake from Magnolia.EvilTroyAndAbed said:

Wups/// forgot about Flagler..another rangy inside/outside threat. This team could in fact be deeper next year, but got to replace Freddie. That is my only concern which is a dominant big guy...an Ekpe Udoh type. Give me that and the title ABSOULTELY furn through Waco.Task Force 2015 said:
As to next year we will also have transfer redshirt sophomore Adam Flagler. He is a guard built like Mitchell who was Big South Freshman of the year in 2019.
Not to include that Vital essentially was missing half the game (due to two quick fouls before the 1st media time out, I believe.Jacques Strap said:
When you're up by 26 missing an injured starter... well... they are a cupcake
Good stuff, but you forgot Adam Flagler, our sophomore transfer from Presbyterian who is another true scoring guard to replace Bandoo. And Turner is redshirting this year, so he'll have four more years to play four.wuzzybear said:
Well the good news is that this team is NOT a one year sensation. Next year:
RETURNING:
Butler
Teague
Mitchell
Mayer
Vital
Clark
Jordan Turner (athletic scorer like Mayer...positionless...3 more yrs)
Thamba (can he become a beast to replace Freddie?...counting on it...2 more yrs)
Tchatchoua (transfer from UNLV...raw but huge wingspan...will be big project for SCD...3 more yrs)
I know I'm looking ahead but if we can get one more big guy, maybe a grad transfer, or out of the transfer portal would be awesome. We need an Azubuikie type.
Any Louisiana kid will do. We have great success recruiting that state and those guys are blue collar types like Vital.
LOST:
Gillespie
Bandoo
I'm ready to replace KU as the place where the title must go through...

In this era of "woke" snowflakes, you will be made to care. OK, I exaggerate a bit.
From my review of their film, which has been limited, it appears all three of these guys have the potential to be great players in the green and gold. Think Dainja and Cryer can both come in and contribute right away. Loveday has the skillset to be as good a big man as we have had, but it seems to me like he'll need to come in and work on his athleticism/motor a little bit with the training staff, which is understandable for a true 6'11/7'0.bear2be2 said:

Definitely agree with you, but I would bet that they all redshirt, especially Loveday, who after watching film, needs a year of weight room work, footwork drills, etc. Looking at Petrusev from Gonzaga, he has the total package for the low post. He demands the ball, is a banger, and has a great shooting touch. He would be a tough assignment for Freddie and Vital would have to help double leaving their deadly 3 ball shooters open and then the question would be can we close out quick enough. So to be that type of player Loveday will have to get used to speed of college ball at this level, but he definitely would be a force. I just wish we had an Azubuike type from the opening tip next year. Of course our guards and Vital take care of business but w/o a dominant presence inside it will make their job harder. However, I cannot think of a better 3 guard combo I'd rather have than Teague, Butler and Mitchell. Mayer will be HUGE next year and should his break out season. He also needs weight room work w/o losing a step.guadalupeoso said:From my review of their film, which has been limited, it appears all three of these guys have the potential to be great players in the green and gold. Really excited about this recruiting class. All three are not only elite players, but seem to be the type of players that fit in Drew's system and culture.
If Freddie could make the strides he did during his redshirt year, you have to think we'll see some pretty significant development from Tchwamwa Tchatchoua as well. This staff does an incredible job with big men.wuzzybear said:Definitely agree with you, but I would bet that they all redshirt, especially Loveday, who after watching film, needs a year of weight room work, footwork drills, etc. Looking at Petrusev from Gonzaga, he has the total package for the low post.
