Somehow my Dad came into possession of a 1963 HS annual from Thomas Jefferson HS in Dallas. And for reasons unknown, he gave it to me. It is interesting from a history standpoint to page through. I saw a couple of pics of Coach Haller from his senior year and thought I'd share(does anybody want this annual?)

Pretty impressive 33-3 record on the year including a win over SMU? Seems odd.

Im hoping they played some of those teams in tournaments. Wide ranging across the state. Houston, Marshall, Pampa?

I'm guessing the last two may have been in the state tournament in Austin.....with them losing the first game and then winning the 3rd place game. Back then you played two games in the state tournament regardless of whether you won the first one or not. Unlike the losing the semi-final game and out we have today. In the mid-60s T.J. was one of the best basketball teams in the Dallas area (in 4A) along with Waxahachie in 3A.

Jim was my uncles roommate his freshman year at Sam. Didn't know that until a couple of years ago and we were talking about Baylor and he mentioned that the ex HC at Baylor was his roommate his freshman year at Sam.
