After comfortably leading the entire game, and going into the 4th quarter up by 14 points, #3 Louisville completely collapses under the defensive pressure applied by #4 North Carolina State - and is outscored in the 4th quarter, 31-8, losing by 9.

A total disaster finish for Walz's bunch - and oh so much fun to watch...

I said it 3 years ago when she was in high school and I continue to say it after watching her for at least 10 games over the past couple of years -- the Van Lith girl is just an average player. Not a great outside shooter by any measurement (she's barely shooting 26% from 3), not very good as an iso driver to the basket and not overly reliable with the ball (TO per game exceeds Assists per game). I never understood why people thought she was gonna be the next immediate sensation.

I feel like she would've thrived under nicki's new system. Oh well. Hope she does well at Louisville but I hope Louisville loses every game! Haha

Never been able to pull for, or even respect, Louisville since watching the two tournaments of mugging by that low class Louisville piece of trash, sorry, I know she's someone's daughter….but that says all you need to know about the parenting. And Walz stood there and encouraged it. I had respected Baylor before that and always appreciated Kim for the way she supported Pat. But after that first 'game' I pull for Baylor - unless you all play UT (the real UT, sorry Texas) or South Carolina. So very good luck in the future, stay Baylor Proud.

Thanks, Slime. Jeff is not held in very high esteem by LV fans any way; he messed with CP and she reported it. I don't think he got in trouble, but we remember it.
You may know Tamari is injured; we don't know whether she can play against Georgia or not. Hoping she can; it will be a much harder game to win if she can't play, is limited in minutes, or has to play at less than 100%.
Projected brackets have us opposite each other, so we'll just have to meet at the Championship game.

Kentucky falling out with Howard on the roster is mind blowing. Tennessee has earned their spot. Happy to see them rebound. Love their coach and her passion. Great get after Warlock dropped the preverbal bed.

Nice. I'd almost forgotten about that beat down. Enjoyed watching it again. Loved that little "explosion" (at the 1:21:25 mark) by then-Freshman Lauren Cox when she lost her cool a little and clubbed the L'ville chick. Funny stuff to go back and watch now. Just a precursor of that fight that Lauren brought to her game for the entirety of her career.

Thanks for sharing...

Interesting "no call" in that it was not deemed a flagrant 2; all three refs looked at the replay. I don't remember that game, although I am sure I watched it. Had Louisville been playing their usual thug ball and, just maybe, the refs took pity on a freshman that had been unnecessarily pushed past her limit? I doubt they didn't call it a flagrant 2 for love of Kim. But that was 2!

Yes, Texas is sorry, and soon enough you'll be able to experience that on a regular basis…have fun, and enjoy the run you're having this year!

Oops, missed a comma didn't I? Good play on punctuation.
Don't know how long we can run in the SEC; it can be brutal. Over the years we have played Texas pretty regularly. Our thug ball team is Mizzery; they consistently play dirty…not up (down?) to Louisville's standards, but they give it a good try.
You all are one of the few fan bases in the country that understands why Walz was never given a glance. And that said, I'm happy with Kellie; just dreading LSU. Those people are crazy and now they have Kim!!

Vols lost another one tonight. Horston went down with what looked like a broken arm in the final 2 minutes.

We are indeed in control of our destiny, and we are positioned to make the home stretch user friendly for our Bears. I like the consistency we have seen for the last several games, and the growing confidence of the team.
Jordan Lewis has very quietly become one of the best point guards we have ever had, a leader on the floor and a very impressive presence at key points of the game. But the key is and always has been Queen Egbo. When she plays well, the Bears win, often with separation, and she has been playing very well. NaLyssa is playing up to, if not exceeding, the preseason laurels that she accumulated. Andrews and Asberry have found their shooting touch and Bickle plays important minutes.

Coach Collen has brought them along to a point where they seem to need very little prodding -- this is a team that knows what it has to do. I look forward to seeing how they perform during these last few games and then the tournaments. I fear that their lack of depth will hurt them in the conference tournament, but not nearly so much in the NCAA Tournament. If they can play with few turnovers, as they did against TCU, they will be hard to beat.

I like our chances but you are correct, we cannot fall asleep on it the last 5 games. I believe that CNC will keep them focused on each game and not looking ahead to Iowa State. I hope the girls learned that when they lost to OU at home earlier this month.

I know that Smith, Egbo, and Bickle all came back because they wanted to win another B12 championship without our last coach and they believe they have the team/personnel to do it. They now see they are so close that focus on each game one at at time to reach that goal.

Interestingly, I think the finish to this B12 season is going to be one of the most entertaining in a long time. You have 5-6 teams within 2 games (including a surprising Kansas team, which is a trap game for us) of the top. You know Vic is coaching them up that anything can happen so, we may actually get some help from the team down south.

I think that we all are going to watch the final couple weeks unfold and it will be an exciting finish!!

If we win our last five games and the big12 tourney there is no question that we will have earned a one seed. The conference is deep and good this year and we will have won 20 straight.

I do not want to be in the same region as UCONN with Buckers. If Paige is out, they are very beatable and might not even make it to the second weekend. With her in, they will be under seeded. I'd like to be paired with NCState or Louisville. South Carolina is likely a death sentence for any other team in their region.
