Looked very similar to what I had to come to the aid at a high school basketball game and a broken nail. If they are the fake type it gets broken they pull off real nail. It's bloody. This just looked similar.

She played really well yesterday. We didn't see much of her last year, for whatever reason.

Heard jammed finger, no idea if true.

It looked like a jammed finger, and it appeared to be on her shooting hand. Depending on the severity of the injury, this could affect her for quite a while. I jammed the thumb on my shooting hand my senior season and it ruined almost half of the conference season for me. Jaden may be able to tape the finger to an adjacent one and reduce the effect enough to play, as her defense and perhaps her passing would be less affected than her shooting, but rebounding is a risk, and even receiving passes will be, as well.

The best possible scenario is that it is not a serious injury, but she was in obvious pain and did not hesitate to head for the training room, so she evidently thought that it might be serious, perhaps in the realm of a broken or fractured finger. The news that it was a jammed finger, despite the discomfort associated with that injury, is far more promising for her season at this point.

In this post game photo, it looks like she has a Bandaid on her right hand middle finger so maybe just a fingernail issue as Olympia3 suggested.

ETA: Not sure why the photo is blocked, but it is a photo of Jaden holding up a box of shoes that was posted on the Women's Basketball Facebook page after the game yesterday.

Before she left the court, the ESPN broadcast picked up her saying "Hey ref, I'm bleeding."

Perhaps it is just wishful thinking, but I did not necessarily take it as a bad sign that she went straight to the locker room. At that point, the game was well in hand in the waning minutes, and there was no reason to put her back on the floor again, so why not go check it out immediately just to be on the cautious side?

That is what I thought it looked like as well.

I like the shoes. Will we get new uniforms as well?
