Her game has improved, but to me it seems she could use another year to work on shooting skills.

She should stay. She's not ready for the next level yet.

Agree....Queen is a study in inconsistency. I don't want to seem mean with my comments, Because I really want her to succeed. She just lets everything bother her to the point she can't focus.

I'm absolutely NOT trying to start "the debate" with this comment, but I would feel a lot better if she was going to come back for another season with Bill Brock. I personally think that our bigs are sorely missing his presence and coaching this season, even including Smith, and who knows how much of a stabilizing and calming effect he was for Queen in previous seasons.

Bill Brock is not the answer for anything, and Queen ain't coming back.

NIL $ could change that.

She'd be amazing if she came back, but I just don't see it. If she does return, I don't think it'd be at Baylor

Also, Queen is one of those players that I feel would make a larger impact in the pro game than she does in the college game.

He had three years to work with her and I didn't notice much improvement. My guess is she has zero chance to get drafted as of now and about similar odds to make a roster in the WNBA. That's a hard league to make.

Love Queen, but unless WNBA doesn't call fouls for slapping down when she tries to block a shot...she isn't going to stay in the game too long. I think she could often avoid the the call if she just went straight up with her hands and didn't slap downward. She gets one or two of these every game.

Why do people think that if she came back she wouldn't come back to Baylor? She loves Baylor and where else would she go to develop her so she can go to the pros? What other schools are good at developing post players for a year for the next level? If she comes back for a 5th year it'll benefit her to stay at Baylor.

I don't remember which one, but in one of the recent games Queen was great: she scored bunches (1000th career point) & had few fouls. Unfortunately she can be inconsistent. For example, she fouled out on Friday vs Texas.

If you are lucky, you get two WNBA chances. You need to be ready. Queen is not quite ready although she has NBA athletics, nbut you have to produce quick.

Can't see Bill Brock as the answer for either NaLyssa or Queen. Pay attention to how Lyss's game has grown this year compared to the past three, or just ask NaLyssa.

Queen is an enigma. She was having what looked like the beginning of a breakout year, until she wasn't. I am pretty sure Nicki would love to have more time to work with her, though extra effort on Queen's part- like NaLyssa's summers spent in the gym with a coach-would surely make a huge difference. She may have the talent but just not the burning desire.

I hope Queen comes back! She is a passionate player and seems like she wants to do good! Hopefully CNC can get her to stay and develop more. She would be a huge asset for us next year and will be an example to new players coming in learning CNC's system.

Someone didn't pay attention to the last 20 years..or the last couple of years, when Nalyssa elevated her game to the odds on favorite for the #1 pick in the WNBA. To her credit, she has kept that dream alive.

CNC is making some good adjustments to NCAA D1 play and is allowing the ball to get in Nalyssa's hands in transition and half court. She can be a great coach, but should never be compared to Coach Mulkey at this point in her career. It is grossly unfair to both.

I totally agree with you on Queen. She has all of the physical skills to be phenomenal, but just needs that desire, or just curiosity, to really press her coaches, and the refs, on how she can make a better defensvive play without fouling or more effective blockout and rebound. Being told to do something over and over isn't near as effective as when the player is asking the questions.

We'll need them both at their best down the stretch!

She isn't going to get drafted to the WNBA this year. Staying for NIL $ plus the chance to develop into a WNBA draft pick would be the logical choice.

This is accurate; there are just so few WNBA teams. Being a 2nd round WNBA pick is equivalent to being a late lottery pick in NBA draft because there are only 12 picks total in first round

If you realize you are the missing piece on a great team, you don't commit cheap fouls that put you on the bench before halftime. So unnecessary and undisciplined.

Not quite but, I understand what you are trying to get across.

There are only 14 lottery picks in the NBA (out of 30 teams).

Being a second round pick in the WNBA means you have a low probability of being on the roster long term as there are so many good players that stay in the league for a really long time.

She's not showing up in the mock draft at this point (although Jordan Lewis is).

I've mostly assumed there was little chance she would return, but if the writing is on the wall that she isn't going to the WNBA next year, I could see her trying one more year to improve her chances.

Worth mentioning that most college WBB players end up going overseas as it is more money and more roster spots compared to WNBA. That said, argon is smart, she'll make the best decision for herself. She'll play at the next level, whether that is in the WNBA or overseas or both is yet to be seen. I also feel it would be hard to pass up another free year of education. Not sure of her major, but Baylor is pricy.

The fact that she is playing for a WNBA coach could be the tipping factor in a decision to stay. But a lot of other factors play into that decision....family, outside interests, career hopes (basketball or other), etc. that likely none of us have a clue about.

In her interview with DiDi, Queen said she wants to be a nurse, for whatever that's worth.

Queen is very intelligent, very articulate, and would likely do well in any field that she chooses. I know that she has a fine academic record at Baylor, but I don't know her major field of interest nor how near she might be to a graduate degree. An MA or an MS from Baylor would enhance her post-Baylor career and set her feet well along the way to whatever goal she sets for herself. I would love to see her play another year and finish off her Masters degree at Baylor, plus load up on courses that would help her career. That would be a win/win situation.

She needs to work on extending her game, as she is undersized for a post position at the professional level. She has already developed a nice touch from the free throw line and used that to hit midrange shots, and I do not doubt that she could learn to defend from the wing, otherwise she is the classic 'tweener as far as a career in the WNBA is concerned. She has not yet learned to harness the wonderful athleticism that she possesses, but another year at Baylor, where she could be featured at both ends of the floor, might help her to do that.

If Abraham is physically ready to contribute next year at the 5 in any meaningful way, especially in the second half of the year, then having Queen at the 4 would be fantastic. It will be interesting to see if we get a transfer at the 5 for next year. That would allow Queen to play more 4, Bickle to play more 3, and would give us more size and athleticism along the front court. You would have to think our lack of a 5 would interest any such players interested in transferring.

Your scenario should keep Queen out of harm's way re fouling, and on the floor longer.

If this is true and she is ready to learn the trade, so to speak, Baylor is not the place for her, just like it wasn't the place for Moon.

True. But that was when she was a freshman. Her plans may not have changed but, then again, maybe they have.

That was . . . my point? That you can be the 13th best player in the nation in your draft and still be 2nd round and still not make a roster
