Okay, gang. Here's what needs to happen:

We all need to hold our nose and cheer for Vic and the shorthorns this Saturday against OU in Austin, then next Wednesday against the clones in Austin. If he can pin an L on each of them, then we root for ISU a week from Sat and hope they take down OU in Ames.

Assuming we keep winning, then we'll be up a game on OU and tied with ISU at the top when we play them in Ames. Win there and beat TT at home and we're champs yet again.

I can hold my nose and pull for OU and ISU to lose in Austin.

I hope those here that were so critical of the team (primarily the new coach) in the first two games of the season heard the comments last night during the ESPN+ broadcast of the Covid situation with the team at that time. It explains a lot for that first loss at KSU, which is the prime reason we are in this fix. Probably explains why Smith was not making bunnies that would have won both the KSU and OU games.

We recorded a game LSU won this week. We watched for about 10 minutes, realized it was boring, moved on. And that was before last night's total dominance. How quickly we have become excited with this new format - hope more and more BU fans will eventually agree.

I said the same thing last night while watching the girls play. This is a very exciting and fun style of basketball to watch, and they're getting better all the time in executing it!

I, for one, was one of those critical. Not just from the first two conference losses but from what I was seeing in our play even leading up to conference. I saw very little team identity, intensity and hustle. Not to mention poor defense. To me anyway, I wasn't seeing the improvement that I expected to see from November to January. I knew a new coach, new system, short bench was going to take some time. But I really wasn't seeing much improvement along the way that I thought I would,


But for the last month the team has made leaps and bounds. We've gelled and have been playing hard, both offensively and defensively. Just really good basketball. We are legitimately a top 6 team.

When I saw how disgusted CNC was after the last OU game, I realized the competitive fire she has and that resonated with me. She expected we were going to play really well that game and smack OU, and when we performed like we did she was thoroughly pissed like we all were. I had begin wondering if she was too much of a "player's coach", but I saw all I need to see after that game.

All of that said, I'll gladly eat my serving of crow. We're in great hands with CNC and the future is bright. Sic 'em!

I think the players are having lots of fun doing it. Scratch that. I know they are. All you have to do is look at their faces during a game.

I will say this....the way we are playing nobody will want us in their path.

Very satisfying to beat Texas twice in three days-then sit back and let them take care of our dirty work. Go Horns.

I was critical of the team early but was careful not to call out anyone in particular. I suggested everyone readjust their expectations and lets see what happens. Needless to say I'm pleased and a bit surprised we were able to sweep Texas and be fighting for a B12 championship. Way to go team!

Well, TT with an unexpected gift tonight. Now we want OU to take down ISU in Ames.

We're in wonderful shape if we continue to take care of business. KU appears to be our last formidable foe before ISU, but I think we seek revenge and beat them in Waco.

It will take a miracle for OU to compete with KState. They don't have any height or answer for Lee. You want Iowa State to lose that game. I don't think they will but you had better believe CNC will be studying the Texas fill. Their defense was on point. Baylor controls their own destiny and a road to a 2 seed. Just gotta win.

Its within our reach....

We can't look past TCU. They played us hard for three quarters. Iowa State, Kansas, and T Tech will be tough as well. If Egbo continues playing as she has the last few games, and if the guards continue to shoot threes at 6-7 per game, we should win. Iowa State will be very tough.

'Looks like the performance of Queen Egbo may be the key to Baylor's success. In most of the games we lost, Queen scored very few points. If she can keep her scoring up as it has been lately, that would be great.

If we find ourselves in a very close game, the loss of a single point could be critical. Queen needs to control her emotions so that she doesn't draw a technical foul for mouthing off or celebrating too vigorously.
