Awesome! If Texas holds on then that means Baylor controls its own destiny as far as winning the Big 12. Win out and Baylor at least claims a share of the league crown.

Game went to OT. Was 78 all end of regulation and OU outscored them 23-21 in OT.

Is that true? If we win out so we share big 12 title despite losing head to head twice with OU?

We need Cows to take down IowaSt Wednesday, IowaSt to beat OU, and us to beat IowaSt again.

IowaSt has 2 losses: one by 18 and one by 25

OU lost to IowaSt by 3, but UT by 15 and KSt by 29.

This scenario would give us the championship outright if we win out. If we just win out and end up tied with OU, we are still co-champs, but OU would be the number 1 seed in the Big XII tournament. But the statement that we win out and are co-champs at worst is true.

My understanding is that if OU and us both won out, we would officially share the regular-season conference championship but OU would be 1 seed in conference tournament due to tiebreaker of winning series with us. But if someone can point to the official rules about regular season Big 12 title sharing that would be cool. I know we shared with WVU one year, but I believe we also split series with them that year.

Thanks. Guess we should just control what we can. Ou has to face iowa st as well. So the iowa st games may be the key to the conference.

Haven't read the rules, but if Baylor beat TCU in football and we ended up tied and were declared "co-champs", then the same should apply here. That "one true champion" crap went down the toilet a long time ago.

Ou also faces kstate that killed them with Lee controlling the game, setting all time record.

And don't look now, but.........Kansas is in 4th place at 8-4. Glad we have already played them up there.

Audrey Warren, a stellar student athlete unjustly ridiculed on this forum, led The Lady Longhorns to victory with 21 / 5 / 2.

This victory against OU, a team who swept the series with the former Baylor Lady Bears, is a feather in the cap of coach Vic Schafer and his charges.

An Objective Fan of The Former Baylor Lady Bears.

Yep. And in that game against Kansas, Baylor pulled off the mini-miracle, scoring 7 unanswered points in the last 14 seconds to win the game by 3, after free throws.

Baylor may very well look back on that game as the absolute turning point for the season, and possibly the jump starting of our run to another big 12 championship. In hindsight, that was an absolutely crucial win for our "new" program...

Some are confused between winning regular season and seeding for the tourney. The team with the best overall conference record wins the regular season -- if more than one team has the same record, there is a share of the regular-season crown. This is what happened in 2013-2014, when Baylor and West Virginia both finished 16-2 and were co-champions. We're all greedy and want to win it out right and get the top seed in the tourney, but even a co-championship still counts the same as winning it outright! It would still be our 12th consecutive and 13th overall regular-season title.

Mulder, With that ever-growing bald spot, Vic certainly needs a cap, with or without feathers.
And as long as you're mentioning sweeps, in the interest of equity you forgot to add that The Baylor Bears WBB team swept those unjustly maligned Lady Cows.

CNC needs to call a timeout in the ISU game with one second left and kick a field goal!

Mulder, I will give you the feather in the cap for Vic but, it is a VERY small feather as OU seems to finally becoming into some relevance this year under their new coach.

However, don't EVER try and post or hypocritically pretend that you are a fan of the Baylor WBB team by calling them "our" girls when it is VERY clear to me and EVERYONE ELSE on this board that you bleed UT orange.

The hypocrisy is insulting.

I wasn't able to spend much time on this board before I recently retired but what I was surprised to see when I came back is that everyone had not yet put Mulder on mute. No need to be insulted when you can't see his posts.

IDK what you're talking about but I have never said anything mocking Warren; I do really worry about the long-term health effects of her many concussions though. The NCAA really ought to require schools to provide non-playing scholarship opportunities (managing/coaching/etc) for players who have had that many.

While Vic cannot get himself a conference title, he can clear the way for us to get a conference title. So maybe in that sense he is earning his millions. Hehe.
