BREAKING: Kentucky transfer Dre'una Edwards commits to Baylor
Dre’una Edwards, a transfer forward from the University of Kentucky, gave her commitment to the Nicki Collen and the Baylor women’s basketball program on Wednesday evening.
The 6-foot-2 standout from Las Vegas averaged 16.8 points and 8.4 rebounds for the as a redshirt junior for the Wildcats. Edwards shot 52.1% from the floor, 34.5% from three point range, and 74.5% from the free throw line in the 2021-2022 season. As a sophomore in 2020-2021, Edwards averaged 9.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals.
Prior to her time at Kentucky, Edwards spent the 2018-2019 season at Utah where she averaged 11.6 points and 6.7 rebounds on her way to winning the won the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year award
Edwards visited Baylor on April 21st.
