Depaul could not do anything about the press. They had way too many turnovers. Depaul lost their primary ball handler with Morris going to Texas. It is easy to double on Morrow because she does not have much help. We have the ball handlers and time to be ready for Texas. No, it will not be easy because they are a good team but I feel we have what it takes to have a winning game plan against them. They are bigger than last year and have a better ability to score the basketball. It will be a fun season but ALWAYS SIC'EM!!!

Great point. I watched the NaLyssa-Aijha highlights from last year, and Aijha is a very quick, tough, sharp shooting, high energy player. I don't know about her defense but she did strip NaLyssa once. NaLyssa is a once in a decade player and I will miss seeing her. That said I believe Aijha will be All Big 12 and challenge for All-American honors. CNC said Dre "just knows how to play". I think she will rebound extremely well and she averaged over 35% from 3 point land over the last two years. Along with the other new faces on the roster I think we will be able to play with most anyone.

Texas Tech vs Midwestern

Midwestern is a mediocre DII school. Tech played down to them the first half, but showed some life the second half. This does not appear to be a breakout year for them.

The offensive system is a good fit for her skills and athleticism level. And since they play little D, that works too.

But not sure about the talent level/athleticism allowing for high level Tourney success. Very Iowa State like.

As far as coaching, environment, etc………..they do have quite a bit of turnover…….but others love it.

Do know this…….TAMU would have been a disastrous choice from style of play viewpoint.
