Aubrey Joens

Joens said she's heard from Marquette, Oklahoma and South Dakota since deciding to transfer.

While her time at Iowa State is ending early, Joens said she's happy about playing for the Cyclones.

Aubrey Joens stated
"I just overall wanted more playing time and wanted a bigger role and I thought that this is a good decision for me."

"It was a very hard decision knowing that I wasn't going to get to play with Ashley again and knowing that Kelsey was coming here, and I wouldn't get to play with her again and all my teammates in general. I'm really good friends with all of them and it was a hard decision to want to leave."

"It was really fun. I made a lot of good friends here, people that I'll continue to stay in contact with. And I had a lot of fun playing in front of the fans in Hilton. They were awesome. The coaching staff was awesome. So, it's really hard to leave such a good place. But, I was just ready for a different situation."

Wichita State head coach Keitha Adams has named longtime friend and mentor, Jim Littell, as an assistant coach.

With 17 years of Division I coaching experience and more than 40 years total, Littell comes to Wichita State highly regarded in the profession. He joins the Shocker program after 11 seasons as the head coach at Oklahoma State. His resume includes six years as associate head coach at Oklahoma State (2005-11), head coach at Seward County Community College (1991-2004), head coach at Friends University (1983-87) and stints Garden Plain High School (1990-91) and Oxford High School (1978-83).

It was at Oxford High School where Adams and Littell first met.
Adams was on the basketball team at Oxford where she played for Littell, and the two have maintained a close friendship throughout the years.
