AP has a lot of good accurate information but his delivery gets a lot of people upset.

Team Mulkey when anyone [but especially me] pointed out the broad range of issues that existed prior to her leaving.

Team Mulkey when the Board Admin points out that this recruit was paid $100,000+ to play for the only P5 program in her home state. Her choice can't be about geography or money, it must be about the coach.

All truths must be pounded into the cookie cutter view they hold. Facts must fit to their Viewpoint, not their Viewpoint to the facts. Let the Triggering and Wailing begin.

Bro, she would've got her regardless of the 100k lol, that was just icing on the cake. Once again, you're blinded by the talk that she is hated, and just will not understand the fact that the woman can flat out recruit.

I hate that our fanbase constantly *****es about the NIL, well do something about it!

Chip & Joanna are one of, it not some of the richest alums IN WACO. Are they active in the NIL sweepstakes? Set up something to lure and attract these kids like the other programs are.

Hell, at least the guys here at SicEm are trying.

I do business with the one of the largest licensee of LSU merchandise in Baton Rouge and this is just a drop in the bucket of what she has raised down there.

Large NIL payments outside of FB & MBB is simply a fad. NFT level nonsense. It will disappear like a fart in the wind. But it is real today and is impactful.

Please give us all of your evidence that the 100K was nothing more than icing on the cake. We await the supporting data.

You're right!!! I'm sure the 3 nattys, the proven track record, and chance to play for one of the greatest woman's coaches had zero to do with her decision. Good grief some of you are so blinded by hate for Mulkey that your sense of reality is out the window. Did NIL play a part ? I'm sure!! I'm also sure Kim's accolades as a coach played a role. Just like CNCs experience at the pro level is going to help BU recruit

You're acting as if she hasn't recruited #1 players already…Griner? Cox?

This isn't her first rodeo pulling in top commits.

Like i said, the 100k was just icing on the cake for her. KM has a selling point outside of NIL. That's my supporting data.

For the people acting like Mulkey sometimes losing to a team that shouldn't have beaten her is some huge indictment on her coaching record, the only question I would pose is "who on Earth are you comparing her to?"

Coach K? Roy Williams? Izzo? Calipari? VanDerveer? Boeheim? Even Geno's got a few that got away from him. And, hello, our very own Scott Drew.

If you coach your team to high levels of success, then you have more opportunities for upset losses. That's why it happened and will continue to happen to all of those Hall of Famers. If you let that tarnish your opinion of a coach, there is no coach you will ever like. Mark my words, if Coach Collen is as successful at Baylor as we all hope she will be, she's gonna have a few of those bad losses on her resume too. Because everyone does.

Exactly. To add to this, she already has 1. Freaking South Dakota?

Tired or not, we should've stomped them.

I thought Coach Messer had been big in this recruitment. It looks like Kim can close the deals on her own without assistants.

The haters have a myriad of excuses with NIL just being the latest. Winners win losers make excuses. KM is a winner and has been at every level as both a player and coach. Nothing that has transpired in Baton Rouge is surprising when you consider her pedigree and competitive fire.

Please explain Kim's excellent recruiting classes prior to NIL? You keep making excuses for why she's having success at LSU for what? She's a hell of a coach one of the best ever in the woman's game, did you really think she was going to fail at LSU?
Shockingly, I am forced to agree with Iowa Bear.

Girls' sports are different than guys' sports because girls tend to reach full maturity physically 3 years earlier. Hence there are few late bloomers (not none) and the best players are mostly known by 9th grade. Kim has been recruiting all of these kids since Junior High. That's just one of the things she walked out the door with to LSU.

She won 3 National Championships with 3 completely different rosters. And was in the hunt to win several more. This signing will attract other top players. That's the way the game is played.

I would love to see Kim make it to the Championship Game and for Nikki to pull a Huge Upset in said game!

Dude, just go root for LSU.

I root for Baylor. If you don't like what I post tough **** Dude.
Its real easy to look good recruiting when your doners pony up $ 100,000.00 each for 2 recruits !! Looks like LSU is in a battle with Texas to have the best team money can buy.
But, Hey since you are such a big Baylor rooter why don't you pony up a $ 100.0K to help Nicki look like a fantastic recruiter like Kim.
Only 100,000?

From what I was told A&M was offering her more than that but I don't blame her for not wanting to be an Aggie, I mean who would?

I'm not too terribly shocked though, her and Kim went back for years before she even become a big time national recruit. From her social media and AAU talks, she was close with Kim and Coach Yo. I think if Nicki had more time to develop a relationship with Mikaylah we may have had a real shot but still impressive we were in her final 5.

Recruiting is such a crap shoot these days between "NIL" and the portal. So much under the table money, pay for play, jumping from one school to the other for things beyond basketball.

Wow so what I was told was true - I had a source tell me that but I was not 100.0% on the reliability of the information so I back pocketed it.
You are so right about her and Kim - lots of history. One thing Kim was great at was spotting talent when they were very young - she had a gift for that no doubt.
I also agree if Nicki had more time she might have been able to close the deal - Bella is a great example of Nicki's recruiting ability - U of A thought she was in the bag and Nicki bagged Bella instead with her honesty, charm, relationship philosophy and no doubt her X's and O's competency.

Nil is pandoras box on steroids - I am conflicted - on one hand I remember how much $ 10.00 a Month "Laundry Money" meant to me so I am happy for the athletes to have a little supplemental $$$ because some of them and their families can really use it. But I fear it's going to turn into a few programs getting all the top talent every year. WBB is so much better and exciting now that U Conn isn't hoisting the trophy every year. I hate to go back to the same 4 in the final 4 every year.

Every program in America IMO who was truly recruiting her hard probably used NIL stuff to help. How much NIL opportunities/amounts from each school? Not sure, that gets more complicated. I'm not naive, Baylor probably does it also. I mean if they were smart they would do it as well. Unfortunately every coach in college sports has to adjust to this or get left behind.

But her final 5 list told me she wanted to be close to home. Although interestingly, after her commitment during an interview I watched, she said LSU was not high on her list before Kim got there but that was when Nikki Fargas was running that program and a lot of top recruits kept leaving the state for years, most recently Ursin and Kalani Brown.

Probably would have had the game been played a month earlier. We were lucky the legs held out long enough to get us a Big XII regular season title. You can play with emotion only so long before the wear and tear takes over. Shouldn't be a problem in the future as we will have a full roster.

Around that time of the year, every team is tired and worn out, to take the next steps in becoming a solid team, you have to battle through it.

No one here can change my mind, and tell me that we 100% should've lost that game. The will to win is much stronger than being fatigued.

Every team does not have a roster of 7 players who are available to play. Additionally 1 of the 7 , Jaden Owens got hurt in the South Dakota game.

Huge difference in fatigue during the season if you have a roster of 12 - 15 players vs 7……….

Once again, that is a flat out excuse. We lost to a lesser team that we should've stomped.
