PMAC Ctr will be sold out and deafening loud. A number of coaches and players have said they had trouble hearing and communicating, so they had to use hand signals. Media will be hot all over that story line. Good for both Baylor and LSU to have that matchup. We're looking forward to NCAA WBB Tourney this year, so many great players, so many all-stars all over the country.

Hope it doesn't happen ! So tired of constantly hearing Nicki and Kim comparisons and this matchup would make that 100% worse ! Hope we are NOT in region with LSU.
Cannot think of any scenario this would be good for Baylor

Not sure how it would be good for Baylor.. we struggle with teams that can rebound

There is absolutely no upside in this for either Baylor or KM. Lots of potential downside for both. LSU will have a sell out regardless of who comes to town. This is purely an ESPN thing. It is all poop anyway until after the conference tournaments play out. Creme is historically wrong on seedings, much less locations.

The only thing ESPN Bracketology is good for is as a general guide to see which 64 teams are likely to make the tourney. I have followed it for several years and the final NCAA bracket has NEVER looked like any of Crme's brackets.

Why wouldn't this be good for Baylor? It's great national media hype, and we have chance to beat the defending national champs. Every year, teams beat higher seeds all the time. If we play well, we have good chance to beat higher seed like LSU. But they aren't Top 5 team. I personally would love to see this match.

LSU's current ranking/seeding is not indicative of how well they are actually playing right now. They are very likely a top 5 team - it's those pesky no name losses earlier in the season that are hurting them. An educated eye test puts them as a much higher seed when the final tourney rankings shake out.

The media hype is going to be talking about Kim leaving Baylor and the struggles Baylor had the first 2 years after she left. And I can only imagine the idiotic posts on this board if Baylor loses which would be very likely. . We do not have the talent and height that LSU has. NO thank you!

I will say it again, there is no scenario this would be good for Baylor and I hope it doesn't happen!!!!

If we beat them, it would be very good for Baylor. Anyone who is a competitor wants to beat their former coach.

Well the one scenario where Baylor wins would be good lol. Not a likely scenario though so probably best to not explore that scenario early in the tournament.

How about we just win out and host our own dang regional?

In a couple years, maybe, if we were the high seed hosting the game, then maybe that would be a good thing. But highly unlikely.

One thing you can't really accuse the women's committee of ever doing is "eye test" decision making. At one time, you could pretty much just run through the RPI. They have used a bit more judgment in recent years, and now use other rating systems, but almost all are based on performance. Those losses to Auburn and MSU, and the almost complete lack of a quality win really hurt -- Va. Tech is the only ranked team. Ole Miss is probably top 30 or so. The committee might consider their talent, but they have generally looked harder at results. Their results probably say 3 seed (maybe a low 2) unless they win the SEC tourney.
