The timing of this is not ideal. But she can shoot. Gives us an end-of-shotclock option we didn't have last year.

The transition from Florida could by tricky since she was a max-volume player there.

I remember when Notre Dame after having multiple injuries took a player (C-F?) either just before the season or during the season and it worked out ok for them...

i think this allows us to run lineups with 4 shooters on the floor with Vonleh at the 5. It will be impossible for a team to double her.

Jada or Jana at the 1 Jana would be the better 3 point shooter
Sarah at the 2
Matharu at the 3
Bella at the 4
Vonleh at the 5

We are one of the most veteran teams in the nation, there is not much these players have not faced when it comes to adversity. The last time we were like this was coaches 1st year but then we only had what 7-8 players on the roster total? Matharu was Texas main defender before Rori if my memory is working correctly. Her along with Jada will be a nightmare for an opponent's offense.

All in All super happy for this pick up.

Adding her i feel like it gives us a different type of experience, than most of the gaurds we have. Shes a amazing scorer, and defender, shes going to be the difference come conference play.

I barely remember her at UT, guess overshadowed by Rori. Good add, too bad only for 1 semester since she's on last year of eligibility.

Not initially. She stayed at Miss State for one disastrous year post-Vic, then transferred after that

And you didn't even have Buggs in the lineup. She put on a clinic yesterday and didn't even shoot a 3, which she has added to her arsenal.

She has one year of eligibility left ? So does she get one more semester next year ?

Or does she play this semester at FU and then next semester at BU ?

i just was thinking from a 3pt perspective Buggs is a great player and definitely would be great to slide in at the 4 as well. But Bella is a better and more proven 3pt shooter. But Buggs is great at slashing for sure reminds me a lot of Didi

No, it will be her final year/6th year in January. Very surprised she is transferring from Florida mid-year, her 4th school, very odd decision. She will have uphill battle to quickly learn Coach N system (as a point guard).

I think you are right re:shooting. She is too good to come here to sit on the bench. Bet she gets decent minutes. I do like that she has wanted to play for Nicki for a while and wants to learn guard play from her before entering the draft. Hopefully strong guard play is the word going as round the circuit about us now.

She said she was transferring to Baylor "to expand her point guard skills." Even if not playing PG, reality is it will take her awhile to learn Coach N system, gel with the team, timing, etc. She won't be playing for couple months until she graduates and transfers. FL will allow her to graduate, but she won't have access to FL practice facilities, gym, etc. Reports say it will be late season before she can get on the floor. Hopefully she catches on quick and has high basketball IQ.

If she does get run at PG it will be a small package kinda like Jada had last year. I believe they are already able to send her film and things to get her acclimated while she is finishing school
