Looks like both Sadie and Kiana are no longer listed on the coaching staff. Not a great look to see them gone abruptly mid season but clearly we don't know the full story. Hope we can fill those player recruiting needs quick.

She needs to honestly revamp the entire staff if im being honest.

I mentioned this on another thread, NC needs to get a staff that can flat-out recruit because NIL is going to remain slim for WBB.

There is definitely a back story to this. I would love to know what happened but we may never find out. Nicki is definitely not hesitant to make a change if she feels it is needed.

What ever it was that caused their dismissal, it will most likely never be made public. This next recruiting cycle is important to Baylor WBB's future success. We will need a top 20 recruiting class and two transfers thru the portal. We are losing many key pieces and our depth is uncertain.

The entire bench needs to be wiped clean. Need to be pulling from other programs with a higostyr of successful recruiting. Also need to bring in someone with deep Waco and Baylor connections to lead an NIL team to assist both the players and the program with cultivating relationships to create opportunities to increase the NIL offerings. Butts are making it to the seats like they used to. And the team isn't really winning on the court like they used to. Time to adapt to the times and be more than a friend. The program would benefit a lot from a little more strategic placement of coaches and putting money into the program to better the environment and improve the visibility of the ladies within the program.

My two cents.

I definitely agree that we need to get someone to focus solely on NIL for women's basketball. Someone who can work with companies and our players and get NIL deals. Someone with strong Waco connections and Baylor donor connections would be good. In my opinion someone like this is our biggest need right now.

NIL is hurting our recruiting . We went to Sweet 16 last year and came extremely close to Elite 8. We should have gotten more than 1 high school recruit if their decisions are based on winning. Money talks and we will continue to lose high school recruits and portal transfers if we do not improve NIL.

There's nothing new at this time. I really doubt that we will ever know the truth what happened but whatever the reason it doesn't matter to me because it must have been legitimate reasons.

When 2 assistant coaches are fired mid-season, there is cause for concern. Honestly, it's disturbing. Yes, we trust Coach N, but the donors who support WBB have the right to ask what happened. This puts doubt in the program. Our multiple families have been donating $$ to our WBB every year consistently since Coach Kim arrived and continuing to donate to Coach N now. Donors like our multi-families are concerned about this development and questioning what is going on. Hope Coach N doesn't keep us in the dark. This is not an injury problem that's kept a secret, this is a program problem. This matters to me and our multi-families who are long standing donors over 25 years. An explanation would be appropriate.

Yes., I am sure there was a legitimate reason. You just do not dismiss 2 coaches mid season unless there is a very good and solid reason. Since they were both involved with recruiting, I can only assume it was something regarding that,

How about The Head Coach stepping up and do a better job recruiting. Oh the excuses for her. The assistants. NIL, etc.

Not all top WBb has tons of NIL. Coach better. Get the right pieces.

Coach N.C. be better. Dont sign a 1 person class.

You can only miss out on so many recruits before you have to make a chance. And that change really can't wait. Recurring is a year around situation. That said, I would think that if she let two coaches go mid-season, she had two coaches ready to take their place. We jump for joy at offering highly touted ladies, I don't think we've been able to celebrate the signing of a highly touted player since the onset of CNC's career, when she was benefiting from the Baylor legacy. She relies on the portal, which I get, but that is a ton of work for a one year commitment from a player. One has to hope that she is cultivating high school level relationships. Since Buggs and Bella, I'm not sure she's signed a prominent player out of high school.

It 100% isn't because of recruiting. You don't get rid of two staff members halfway through the season unless it's something egregious. The optics alone are bad, so it wouldn't be just because you had a bad signing class.
