lol. Dude I'm not gonna read all that crap. I will tell you this. A players role on the team is bigger than just the numbers. For some reason, you don't seem to grasp that. I'm happy for the aces and I'm happy for our available players. Have a good night.

I'm a numbers kinda guy too.

Since AP wants to focus on numbers, let's focus on these numbers.

In 4 years, we've done the following as a program:

Made 1 Sweet 16.
Lost TWICE at HOME during the Round of 32.
Took home ONE Big XII Title (Regular Season).
Won ZERO conference tournament titles.

Yet, nary a word from AP about the coach overseeing that debacle - but he's quick to bash two former players who gave it their all while here in uniform.

Bottom Line: Both Carrington and Smith played vital roles in their Team's success.

Smith's game 3 effort in the semifinals (16 points) helped ensure that there would be a game 5. Otherwise, the Fever might have closed the Aces out in 4. BTW, those 16 points were second highest on the team that night (ahead of A'ja Wilson's 13, on a night where Wilson struggled mightily from the field).

And no one should hold anything against Carrington or Smith for their time spent with that bumbling Dallas franchise.

Sometimes the Terran Condrey's are just what you need to get you over the hump.

And both players played significant roles in helping their teams this year (in Smith's case, the end result was the championship).

I give every new college coach in every sport who inherits a mess (and she did) five years to build.
not exactly a controversial position. Clearly you don't.

ever hear me question Sims, Young, Richards, Prince, Sims, Jones, Wallace?
nope.
Griner, Smith, Carrington, Egbo do dumb stuff. Dumb stuff gets criticism.

as far as Carrington, will any team match her 2025 $200,000 paycheck? If not, WNBA execs are voting with me via their offers.

as far as Smith (last year of rookie contract at $91k-ish), next year's new contract shows how the WNBA sees her. Again, the execs will show whether they agree. If she gets lowballed, it speaks volumes.
