As far as I know--which only goes back to 2011 or so when I started following Baylor WBB-- the only player recruited directly from outside the US was Kristy Wallace (Australia). Other international players, such as Lety Vasconcelos (Brazil) and Sophia Young ( St. Vincent) attended prep schools in the US, or transfered to BU via the portal from other US schools (Waita Jennings, Yuting Deng, Kiera Pemberton). I'm sure there are others.
Should we be focusing on recruiting overseas? If our NIL continues to be limited, isn't this a valid way to add quality players? So many other schools recruit heavily outside the US; Davidson comes to mind with only 2 Americans on roster. TCU has several. Or is CNC intent on recruiting only with the US?
The WNBA is taking more and more international players in their draft each year. Apparently the age restriction applied to college doesn't apply to internationals; several have been under 20. If they are not allowed NIL $ in colleges,
it is more attractive to them to get W's attention.
