Please explain. If we beat frogs, do we share conference championship? Why is media saying we are only 1/2 game behind them? Does head to head matter with WV? Did not matter in football with TCU!

Yeah tiebreakers don't matter except for seeding in conference tourney.. could have 3 teams that are champions. I don't love how they do that.

Might be a scenario we still escape the 5-seed via tiebreakers. Not sure.

WIN OR LOSE TO FROGS WE WILL BE #3 IN THE BIG 12 TOURNEY THERE ARE 4 TEAMS THAT GET A DOUBLE BYE. AND 4 THAT GET A SINGLE BYE.
BOTTOM 8 TEAMS PLAY AND 4 WINNERS ADVANCE TO PLAY THE SINGLE BYES.
GOT IT NOW, CONFUSING SOME TIMES.

We could actually move up to the #2 seed with a win and a WVU loss to Cincinnati.
While a WVU loss is unlikely, the #2 seed is still a possibility.

It may not make a lot of difference. We would still face WVU in the semis if we get that far. I am just concerned about avoiding Tech and its press in the quarterfinals. Never know. We may have an answer for that and Tech could shoot like they did last night against KU (terrible shooting) or put half their team on the bench with fouls.
For all of Baylor's faults the last several games and our fall from prominence, I think other teams still put a target on our backs for all those years of dominating them. It still means something in this conference for teams to beat us. They just play at a higher level when we meet.

We beat the ags 3 times before bug dance. Twice in league and also conference tournament. I was at Reunion arena for that game. 2 aggettes were so loud I gad the usher move them to a private suite so everyone around us could 'enjoy' the game. They were ridiculously loud.

Agreed. I've also had this thought, which gives me a bit of hope heading into the conference tournament and a potential matchup against Tech: I'm reminded of the year we dominated A&M throughout conference play, and then drew them early on in the NCAA tournament. I think the "it's very hard to beat a comparable team 3 times in a season" phenomenon could be very relevant here--also if we lose on Sunday and face TCU in the conference tourney.

I think that season we beat A&M the first three times we played them (twice in Regular season and then in the Big 12 tourney championship). We then lost to them in the Elite Eight game in Dallas. Beating the same team three times is tough, but four times is even tougher.

And it's nearly impossible to beat a team 4 times in one season when your coach is whining non-stop, for 2 weeks straight, about how unfair it will be to have to play that team in the regional final - which eventually results in said coach psyching out her own players.
