How long do you want to ignore this user?
All 4 projected brackets(including ESPN) that I have seen today have BU as a 6 seed.Three have us playing Louisville in the second round. The other projection has us playing Ohio State.Let's hope we aren't a seven seed because that would have us playing a powerhouse 2 seed on its home floor.

My guess is a 7 seed in Baton Rogue for a potential 2nd round game vs 2 seed LSU.

6 seed, 7 seed, doesn't really matter in my opinion. This team has underperformed so greatly down the stretch with their poor shooting and inability to take care of the ball, they will not make the second weekend. It wouldn't completely surprise me if they lost in round 1. Might be better to avoid a beat down in second round.

Wow,I hope we don't lose our first our first round game. That would entail losing to a 10 or 11 seed at a neutral site.

Oh, it DEFINITELY matters.

If we drop to a #7 seed, we'll most likely get shipped off to Baton Rouge and have to deal with that circus all week long.

Then again, maybe that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

It would be the ultimate 'rubber meets the road' moment for CNC.

Go down there and get run out of the gym by Mulkey and company, and that might finally be the straw that breaks the camel's back and gets the ball rolling on moving on from CNC.

But if she were to go down to Mulkey's backyard and upset the Tigers, then CNC would probably endear herself to the fanbase for the time-being.

Might as well get it over with and know which way this thing is headed.

Assuming we could beat a #10 seed and get out of the first round to begin with, of course.

We do NOT want this team in Baton Rouge. They would get boat raced by LSU. Mulkey's defense against this turnover poor team would make it awful ugly for us. Throw in Kim's attitude toward her BU exit and she will spare no tactic to embarrass us.

Thank you Captain Obvious.

It would be the Mulkeyists wet dream though

I also saw Johnnie Harris and Micah Odom at the match as well.

Headed to 3 seed Duke but we play Richmond or Nebraska first.

We are the 6 seed as projected.

Two things I don't like about BU's draw
1. Playing the winner of a 1st Four game means delayed scouting
2. Possible rematch with Duke in round 2

How nice of them to potentially pit us up against Duke, so they can exact their revenge against us for that upset win we got early in the season. Definitely didn't do us any favors here. It also gave us an opponent we've already played once during the year, instead of getting somebody with fresh faces to look at. Crummy draw. But then again, why am I not surprised...

Well, unless Texas Tech plays the game of their lives against LSU in their 2nd round matchup, then the LSU opportunity will still be there for CNC and the ladies.

Just gotta get past 2 roadblocks (Nebraska and Duke) to make it become a reality.

I'm not even convinced Tech gets by Villanova. But if they do they'll get absolutely boat raced in the rd of 32. Baylor should win their rd of 64 game. That'll likely be it

Yeah their pressure will get torn apart by LSUs guards… and if that's not working they're not that good

Possible, but not likely.

Most of Nebraska's losses (8 out of 12) were against teams who are hosting or were on the cusp of doing so.

Only lost to 2 teams that didn't make the tourney (Indiana and Wisconsin).

Richmond's best win was against Penn State, whom Nebraska hung 100 on.

Assuming Nebraska handles Richmond, we might not want to overlook the Huskers, because they're the type of team that could give us fits and make our stay in the tourney be a short one.

I would to like see us survive to play LSU. But Duke is on fire and, in interview, CNC seems to think the Duke she beat is the Duke of today. She is way wrong. Duke has gotten better all season while we have descended to NIT level. To be honest, I think we are way over ranked in this tournament. Colorado is a 10, so ANY 11 could send us home. Colorado beat us and almost beat WV. And how are we ranked higher than Tech which beat us not once, but twice. And on the last game we didn't even belong on the court with them. I made the drive to watch the game and it appeared we were up against a buzz saw. ISU is one of our few significant wins; that only happened because Brown was about 50 percent well. At best, we win one game. And I would not count on that win. If CNC has found a way to motivate players to beat Duke in their present state, I could accept a 14 point loss to LSU as a good sign. A win over LSU as our own personal natty. I'm pulling for the bears, but unless they play much differently than they did in Big 12 tournament, they only need to back one change of clothes. Could you imagine getting in Colorado, ISU or WV in your bracket thinking their record reflects an easy win. If refs allow street ball, like big 12 refs, CO and WV are going to shock teams. Better pack bandages.
IowaBear

ISU and CO will be lucky to win 1 game. And if they manage that they'll get blown out in the rd of 32. I actually think the B12 has a decent Rd 64 showing. After that they'll fall quickly in the Rd 32. TCU is really the only 2nd weekend team I see. WV got. Really tough draw. They got imo the best possible Cinderella in Miami OH and if they survive that they'll get the tallest team in the country. I'll be utterly shocked if WV comes out of their Morgantown regional

Colorado also beat TCU, which further reinforces your point that basically any team in the tournament can beat us.

The 2nd round potential matchups are brutal so that's pretty obvious.
ISU would play #1 UConn
CU would play #2 Vandy
OSU would play #1 UCLA
Tech would play #2 LSU
BU would play #3 Duke

It also speaks to the larger problem… the B12 stinks right now. Need Baylor or WV to find a way in the S16 as unlikely as that seems. Cant just be TCU

best odds for me are Colorado at Vandy. Vandy has slowed down a little as of late. If they can control Blakes, as much as you can, I think they have a shot.

Well, we managed to get past one roadblock (Nebraska).

Get past the second one, and this board will get its dream matchup.
Dcheetah

The last couple years would have been a better matchup for us ( not good but better) but I fear if that game occurs we will have another Texas like beatdown or possibly worse because Kim will probably be looking to run up the score. I doo think our team would play harder and more intensely knowing what that game would mean to Nicki. I hope we manage to get past Duke and that I am proven wrong in the next game.
LTBear19
How long do you want to ignore this user?
The funny thing is I could see that happening (the ladies laying it all on the line).

Doesn't mean we'll win, but it would feel somewhat personal to everyone involved (we didn't appear to play with an edge against Texas, TCU, or Tech this season).

Plus, it would possibly work as a distraction to Kim and throw her off her game a little, since she would have to answer questions non-stop for nearly a week about playing her former team. Pretty sure that would irk her quite a bit.

Another point - We would probably play more loose, since no one would give us a snowball's chance. Which means the pressure would be all on LSU.

Would just have to keep it fairly close, and see if we could get LSU to play tight.

Of course, this will be a moot point if we lose tomorrow.

But it's fun to think about the possibility of it happening and the lead-up to the game.
Dcheetah

It is and I hope you are right. That would be great and great for our program if it happened.
