After the blown breakaway layup, nice effort and grit the rest of the 4th quarter to end up winning an ugly one. At least we got the opportunity to get fed to Duke on Sunday.

Credit to Nicki for challenging that call and getting an unobserved flagrant foul! Turning point of the game!

ESPN announcer was having a hissyfit at the end of the game about it.

She did not lose! I am sure some on the board are disappointed about that!..

Fed to Duke? We've already hammered them this year.

Hammered them? Weird definition of hammered you have.

I know it's limited action, but Brow is a really good passer in the pick and roll. 3 assists in 13 minutes.
I'd like to see her and JVG on the floor at the same time.

Odd. At the time, the color commentator was saying Nikki was right that it was flagrant. And she was right.

Defensively .

Held them to 28% shooting and out rebounded them 42-20

That's fair, I usually associate those kind of comments with final scores. To the girls credit that was the best rebounding performance of the year imo

Nebraska lost.

It was far from a great coaching job by Collen.

I'm really surprised she didn't get T'd up...she was shrieking the entire game.

Posts during a game often end up as being egg on a face by the end of the game.

No… Collens still a crap coach. That didn't change by squeezing out a win over a team who didn't even finish top half of their league

Taliah has not helped us at all today…..

She has a really bad habit of in her effort to blow past someone forgets to take the ball with her. Of all the players out there she is really turnover prone in both dribbling and passing. Sure wish she would get her shot back. It makes everyone else better Of course the big plus is her FT percentage. We've had guards before that tried movements she tries to make, but were far from reliable from the line. Jana does pretty good from the line as well.

Completely foreign from past teams going way back this team is really pretty good from the line (as long as you keep Abraham off of it).

Gutsy W! Time to get eat a few crow sandwiches. Have a good evening all
I don't know if escaping the 12TH PLACE TEAM in the Big 10 really requires any sandwiches. It is still a laughable result at best, despite pulling off the win.

Her and JVG seemed to be on the court quite a bit together today in Brow's minutes.

Ramadan ended at sundown so Taliah can now eat her meals on a regular schedule and probably rest better. Both may have been a factor today.

This. Glad we pulled out the W, but it wasn't all that long ago we routinely had teams that would've never been in jeapordy and would've wasted that Nebraska team by 30+.

And the Cowboys used to go to the Super Bowl every other year.

Mulkey is a HOF coach with a roster full of 5 star recruits. . Of course we are not going to win if we play LSU. And a number of people on this board will be extremely happy when that happens and those people are not fans of Baylor Wbb.

If we play Mulkey, we've done well in the Dance, certainly above current expectations.

We will not win but if we get the chance to play LSU, I hope game would be competitive. I agree that would be a successful tournament outcome.

One thing about yesterday's game (as well as the Colorado tourney game) that I thought deserves some attention and may end up helping us against Duke: The introduction of Ella to the lineup. I love CNC and think she's a great coach, but I agree with much of the critique she gets on these boards that she gets stuck in her lineups and doesn't play around with different combinations after a certain point in the season. But introducing Ella now gives Jana the breather she's needed the entire season, but it also puts in a player who doesn't have much tape for the opponent to look over.

On top of that, I thought the minutes that Ella and Yuting shared on the floor yesterday was something special. Some of that had to do with Ting having a good game, and some of it probably has to do with Ella and Ting likely practicing more together on the "bench team."

I hope this can be a contributing factor to another W against Duke.

Not a good analogy - as far as the Cowboys going to the Super Bowl with any consistency (or for that matter going there at all) that WAS a long time ago.

being happy for mulkey and being a fan of baylor wbb are not mutually exclusive

If that ultimately happens, I seriously doubt that "a number" of the regular non-troll posters on this board will actually be "happy". And by and large they ARE Baylor women's Bball fans - they just aren't fans of where the program has fallen to, especially knowing and experiencing how it was and can be.

They are for Bear3 and a few others. You must hate Mulkey. If not you're not a Baylor fan

They don't have to be mutually exclusive. But on this board, they tend to be.

I'm not saying that the Mulkey-ites hate Baylor WBB. But I'm old enough to remember when we went six years without making it past the Elite 8, with a Final Four-level roster on many of those years, and Mulkey and those teams received nowhere near the shame and critique that Collen and her teams get on these boards for doing what they do with far less talent.
Bear3
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't hate Mulkey. I strongly supported her and the team when she was here. . I still say if someone would cheer for her LSU team to win if we end up playing LSU, they are not a Baylor fan. If you cheer for an opponent to win, I don't think you are a fan.

There are some people on forum you never hear from unless the team loses and would be happy if LSU hammered Baylor. . Same on Wbb Facebook page.

People can certainly criticize Nicki's coaching and still be a Baylor fan. She is definitely not a perfect coach and fair to question her decisions, coaching style, etc. but some of comments go beyond that.
IowaBear
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Who?? I haven't deen a single poster cheer for Baylor to lose. Maybe I'm missing something or not paying enough attention.
I have seen people defend Mulkey from the usuals who enjoy bashing her or downplaying her success for whatever reason. But I can't say I e seen a single poster openly root for Baylor to lose. And let's be honest here. If said person exists they aren't a Baylor fan
