I would think it is difficult to pick the top 25 teams when no one knows who will be on the teams at this point- seems pretty pointless.

I agree with the comments about difficulty etc.Having recognized the premature nature of the predictions it is still a bit concerning that zero Big 12 teams are listed.

I was going to say the same thing. BU is sad, but not surprising. The complete absence of any Big 12 schools is hugely problematic and shines a spotlight on the perceptions of the conference and the likely difficulties those perceptions make in terms of recruiting.

And in regard to UCLA, I'm not sure anyone who wasn't a senior scored a point in the entire Final Four for them. This was their year. They lose almost 100% of their production to graduation.

It is ridiculous to issue a top 25 list now. No one has any idea who will even be on teams at this point…..

More tradition than anything. It is extremely pointless given the portal. Teams shift and change dramatically during the off season. If anything, I'd say it's a snapshot based on the assumption of who is leaving and who is going.
