Baylor Star Darianna Littlepage-Buggs Drafted No. 30 Overall by Washington Mystics
NEW YORK CITY – Baylor women’s basketball star forward Darianna Littlepage-Buggs was selected by the Washington Mystics with the 30th overall pick of the 2026 WNBA Draft on Monday night in New York City.
Littlepage-Buggs racked up numerous accolades across her four years in Waco, as she was a two-time WBCA All-America Honorable Mention selection, four-time All-Big 12 honoree, 2026 All-Big 12 Defensive Team member and 2023 unanimous Big 12 Freshman of the Year.
She averaged a double-double this season, posting 10.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. The Oklahoma City native finished her career with 44 double-doubles, the fifth most in program history, while climbing the ranks to be Baylor’s fourth all-time leading rebounder (1,164).
Littlepage-Buggs also became head coach Nicki Collen’s fifth player selected to the WNBA Draft during her tenure at Baylor, joining Aaronette Vonleh (2025), NaLyssa Smith (2022), Queen Egbo (2022) and Jordan Lewis (2022). Overall, Littlepage-Buggs was the program’s 26th overall player drafted and the 15th in the last 10 years.
