This is a. Massive Get for Nicki! Massive!! People in the back, tell me one more time how Nicki cannot recruit top players……..

I know that Koval got a legislative relief waiver to play this season but can she play this fall when she didn't enroll at Baylor. I believe in December or January she should be okay. If she is able to play right away it would help in the bigger nonconference games.

Having met and become friends with a lot of Ukrainians over the past few years, it's hard to imagine her choosing Baylor wasn't a statement more than just wanting to play for Baylor.

She went in the portal because Kim brought in Russian girl and she would not play with a Russian (for obvious reasons).

She makes us a prime time team. I saw her play last year in every game except 2. She was a fan fav because she is very kind and easy going. Great great get. Didn't believe we had a chance of getting her..

Does anybody think we willl use her more as a big forward? That is probably biggest need and she can spell at Center when needed. She has played both positions in college.

Koval's ability to shoot the 3 and distribute from the perimeter allows CNC to:

1) play 5 Out offense, or

2) go BIG with Koval at the 4 in a 1 In 4 Out offense while maintaining decent spacing.

Defensively, it is a biggee as TCU won't be able to put a 6'3 PF in the high post and have clear entry passing over an undersized 4 or post up that undersized 4.

First CNC team with depth. First CNC team with abundant size.
If the shooting and perimeter D are there, a VERY dangerous team. Scott has to be ecstatic about having sufficient talent around her.

FIBA U16 Challengers series.
Plus 75% FT shooting last season on decent volume.
……but mostly FIBA because we know Mulkey isn't letting her bigs shoot 3s.

BTW, Koval got awarded for her all around play at FIBA.

It hasn't been said yet, but Busch League by Mulkey to add a Russian player after the transfer portal had already closed, knowing that Koval would have an issue with it. Kim played with fire and got burned, and I'm glad we're the beneficiaries of it.

I'm sure Mulkey probably cares 0% about all of it, but the way she conducted business here doesn't sit right.
