I was already pretty pumped about the Women's Basketball team for this upcoming season. This included a starting lineup with quality at each position and deep bench and rotation. I was thinking Elite 8. Now, with the addition of Kate Koval, I'm pondering what their ceiling might be. Could it be Final Four?

I'm hyped too about the Baylor Men's Basketball team.

Might this be the best opportunity of both Women's and Men's teams to make deep runs that Baylor has had in several years? Any chance both make it to the Final Four?

Of course to make such deep runs takes luck, no matter what school you're talking about. And...avoiding key injuries.

I'm thinking additionally for Baylor the major factors include integrating the transfers and freshmen and team chemistry.

Any others out there with such optimism? What is the most critical factor you view for team success this year?

I'm right along with you on the Elite Eight train ride, barring any injuries. The USC game will tell a lot about who we are early on in the season and that OSU game later on in the season should solidify who we REALLY are and have grown into as a team. Ready to see the Crooks vs Koval and Liv vs Taliah match ups. JuJu vs Taliah will be nice as well. I think Taliah had far too much pressure on her last year vs Texas. Should not be the case this year with the added talent and depth around her now.

I would be pleased with both teams making it to the second weekend.Anything more would be biscuits and gravy.

This appears to be the best talent we have had since the Mulkey years. Looks like there is has been a little more cash to offer recruits this year.
