I found this nugget in the article...Oregon is the best three-point shooting team in the country, making 41.9 percent of its shots from downtown.

Yep
That is one thing I'm concerned about because we tend to lose the shooter at times. One thing Oregon has not seen our size or defense yet.

We've gotten bounced from the tourney the last several years because we weren't prepared for a team to shoot lights out from 3. I think this time knowing that it's a strength of our opponent helps us be focused in defending it. So if we get beat because they made 10 plus 3's shooting 50% then they deserve to win.

They need to make enough threes to overcome what we all hope is a big deficit in shots taken and second chance points.

Do you think we need to put moon in for chloe a little more than normal since chloe is our weakest defender?

I'm no coach but they need to worry about who is going to guard Chloe. She opens up the paint with her shooting.

Are you crazy?? Moon turned it over just about every time she touched the ball in the last game. There is nothing wrong with Chloe's defense.

I disagree. Chloe is the only one of the starting 5 who is average to above average on defense. Everyone else is either really good or elite. I just wonder if moon's defensive presence and tenacity could get Oregon off of their rhythm from the 3 point line.

I'm not saying to take chloe out the whole game. Every once in awhile they could sprinkle moon in there especially if Oregon gets hot behind the arc.

There obviously would be the issue of less shots being made and poise from the point guard position if you took chloe out for too long.

Idk. I'm just worried about how they will defend the 3.
