Texas university has an enrollment triple Baylor's and a budget what 10 times Baylor's. Are they a better program ? You pointed out records last 5 years and I'm glad you did because there damn near the same. This would indicate they are in fact comparable. Not sure why your dead set on using completely useless info such as a school's enrollment to define which athletic program is better. It's a mute point anyways. You think Tx St is this great program I think they're about even with Nicholls St let's leave it at that
I never said Texas State was great but obviously better because they came within 7 of beating the #8 team. How did your team do?

Yep almost equal wins except one is in a better conference with harder competition.

My team is Baylor…. Same as yours. Again a pretty well known fact around these parts.

You're arguing for NSU and saying that they are similar to a program that only lost by 7 to the #8 team in the nation. NSU lost by 42 to an unranked team.

I say those are not similar. You say they are.

You're right TSU is a much much better program then Nicholls St even though there's nothing to back that claim except for funding and enrollment apparently two absolutely embarrassing references. Since they almost beat "7" we should pencil them in as a dark horse for the F4 right ?!? LSU is a top 20 team anyone with a brain sees that.

Instead of a pissing match will agree to disagree. We're both entitled to our owns opinions. We both root for the same team so this is a pointless argument

1. Again, you're using your words, not mine. I never said TSU was a "much, much better program."
2. I simply stated that they weren't similar...37,000 to 5,000 is not similar in my book...$34 million is not similar to $8 million in my book...losing by 7 to #8 and losing by 42 to unranked is not similar.
3. Coaches poll lists LSU with 13 votes while #20 (that's YOUR number) has 192...again those are not similar numbers either.

Maybe you don't understand the word similar?

Just let it go....this conversation wasn't about you anyway.

You were CLEARLY using similar to describe the WBB programs not enrollment, funding Etc. You added those to move the goalpost. And you're correct conversation wasn't about me. Enjoy the weekend

You assumed I was only talking about WBB and budget does have a say in an athletic program. and you've offered no evidence that they are similar programs.

Both Baylor and LSU played similar opponents to open the season. one team won by 40, the other by 7. hmm.

LSU will be happy to have you as a fan.

I see Mulkey and her departure a little similar to Bob Knight when he was forced to leave Indiana. Knight had won 3 NCAA championships at Indiana but would not cooperate with the administration and thought he was bigger than the university he represented. Mulkey will no doubt do well at LSU but like Knight at Texas Tech will not win an NCAA championship there. I only hope the Baylor women's program will have more success than the Indiana men's basketball program since Knights departure.
Kim won 3, but she was a whisker away from winning 6 or 7 National Championships. I don't believe Knight felt he had "something to prove" at Texas Tech. I am certain Kim feels she has "something to prove" at LSU.

The Women's game is different from the Men's game. Overlooked players like Teague and Flagler are common in the Men's game. They are rare in the Women's game. The best Women's players are usually identified by 8th or 9th grade. Michael Jordan played JV in 10th grade. Kim was already recruiting most of the top players in the next several recruiting classes before she left Baylor. Most of those doors are still open to her and I wouldn't bet against her.

Kim is one of the greatest coaches of all time, but "a whisker from 6 or 7?" We couldn't get to the Final Four for years. It wasn't like we were losing in the finals or semifinals. We kept losing in the 16 and 8. 3 NCs is amazing, but it's about right.
