Now that Coach T has been announced if I had a son on the team I would definitely have him enter the transfer portal. I know you guys all think coach T he is the best. But in my opinion there are much stronger more qualified coaches in the NCAA and much better facilities! My son would be out. Just keeping it real
This could be the first indication of how difficult it will be to staff up when OU and UT leave and the conference money pot dries up.

Baylor has regularly overcome player losses by doing more with less (media selected) talent. Give Mitch some time and he will have us riding high in the standings again.

I'm not down on the choice at all. I trust Rhoades on these deals. Thus far he has not failed. I do admit to having the initial feeling of a little underwhelmed though. That said those of you who are so excited what excites you? What he did at MCC? Is it that you excited to have someone from the coaching tree of Smith (who still gets alot of criticism here for the program not doing as well as it should have in that era)?

His recruiting prowess is easily his biggest selling point. In the last nine years I'm pretty sure he's produced more draft picks at MCC than we have.

Also, pretty much every elite player we had from the mid-90's through 2012, which is the most successful period in Baylor baseball history, came through Mitch. I honestly don't know enough about his time at MCC to know how he is making strategic decisions, but at least off the field he's one of the nation's elite recruiting minds. That's enough for me to get hyped.
