Wasn't Del Conte his AD at TCU most of the time he was there? I'm talking about the Aggie HC. I didnt even think of that connection when I first heard this and came back to this thread.

For the 2nd half of his tenure he was.

I think Danny Morrison was the AD that hired Schloss.

The timing certainly lends some smoke to Schloss going. Pierce is only two years removed from consecutive CWSes. You'd only cut bait with Pierce now if you thought you had a bigger one on the line.

I agree after being reminded of his ties Del Conte earlier on this thread, I would not surprised at all if this is done and Texas announces it tomorrow or Wed, regardless of the result tonight. Please note I said "I would not be surprised.......", I'm not trying to make a prediction.

Some UT outlets are saying the hiring hs occurred. If so the Aggies are going to be livid. They were sure after his comments last night regarding the vacancy, they had nothing to worry about.
