If it weren't for a nice little comeback in the third game of the Kansas series, we'd be 0-5 to start conference. We've given up 52 runs in 5 games. I wasn't expecting to win the conference, but dear goodness.
If you just looked at our record from non conference you'd think we would be pretty good, but then you look at the records of the teams we played and they were terrible teams and we feasted on what had to be one of the weakest schedules in Baseball
I'd like to see Bailey move up to Saturday and find a right handed pitcher to start the Sunday conference games (or keep Bailey on Sunday, and move someone else to the Saturday starter). Bales could be long reliever, but can't possibly be one of our 3 best arms.
Mitch said in postgame earlier in the year he couldn't remember a weekend rotation of three lefties. Should have stuck with tradition. Bales just doesn't have it. Bailey will be straight recruited and get a payday. He's filthy out there.
