Baylor Hits have dominated the Errors so far this season. However, a match-up with the #3 Texas Longhorns Saturday night would no doubt provide the best opportunity for the Errors to beat the Hits for the first time the season. After the Baylor Errors jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one, and added another in the third, the Baylor Hits found themselves in a 3-0 hole heading into the fourth. This was uncharted territory for Hits; sorta. But with singles in back to back innings, the Baylor Hits had clawed their way back into the game and pulled within one of the Baylor Errors. Down 3-2, the Hits came up empty in the top of the sixth opening the door for the Errors. Playing one of their best games so far, the Baylor Errors tacked on an insurance error in the bottom of the sixth and it was looking all but over for the Hits. Shockingly, the Baylor Hits managed a single in the 7th and 8th to tie the game within the game at 4 apiece. Ironically, the Baylor Hits poor play prevented the Errors from one last opportunity to win? the game in the bottom of the ninth. Final score: Baylor Hits 4, Baylor Errors 4.
