Hot take: for baseball and softball I think whatever you wear in the batter's box should be required to be worn on the bases. Taking off the elbow and ankle guards, putting on the sliding glove, etc., should be eliminated. Discuss.

Can anyone explain how they set up the Super Regional matchups? For example Troy and Little Rock? And then Auburn and Ole Miss? I don't understand how they set these up? WVU gets Cal Poly but North Carolina gets USC?

They seed the regional hosts 1-16. The winner of the one seed regional plays the winner of the 16 seed regional and so on. UCLA was seeded the top regional host. When Cal Poly beat UCLA to win the regional, they got to play the 16 seed, WVU.

What Nguyen said. Lots of upsets (seven) in the regional round made the super regionals seem oddly matched.
