and 3-time first team AA?

It is an amazing accomplishment for Yossiana Pressley. Congratulations on making all Bears proud!

Baylor's Track & Field program is likely the most successful athletic program in the school's history. BU thinclads have earned more than 600 All-American honors. The Bears 4X400 Relay alone earned AA honors for 25 straight years and 27 of 28 years between 1984 and 2011. Listing all the ones who have won 5 or more AAs would take too long; here are the Baylor Track & Field Athletes that have won 8 or more All-American honors:

!. Tiffany Townsend (17)
2. Tony Miller (15)
3. Deon Minor (14)
4. Brandon Couts (13)
4. Michael Johnson (13)
4. Darold Williamson (13)
7. Bayano Kamani (12)
7. Raymond Pierre (12)
9. Mark Collins (10)
10, Stacy Bowers (9)
10. Marcus Boyd (9)
10. Trey Harts (9)
10. Jennifer Jordan (9)
10. Yulanda Nelson (9)
10. LaJerald Betters (9)
10. Barbara Petrahn (9)
10. Raoul Howard (9)
18. Darnell Chase (8)
18. Daniel Fredericks (8)
18. Zwede Hewitt (8)
18. Wil London (8)

I guess I don't understand how track works. Are there AA's for each event?

If you score at the NCAA Championship, you earn AA in the event in which you scored. It's the only sport where the honor is not subjective. Nobody has to vote for you, and if you are the NCAA Champion, you are an All-American. You might be the PG on the NCAA Champion basketball team, and still not be an AA PG.

Ah thank you. Then I wonder how many Baylor athletes have been VOTED a 5x all american?

I think maybe what you might be looking for is someone who was voted AA in 5 different years. That would have been impossible before COVID extensions, as rules only permitted athletes to compete 4 seasons out of 5 scholarship years with the redshirt rule, unless there is some strange example where some AA committee voted a medical redshirt athlete an AA after only playing in less than 20% of his/her team's games before being injured and I can't ever remember that happening anywhere. There are of course many examples of "consensus" All-Americans at Baylor where athletes made multiple AA teams in the same year.

Yeah this is the way I was thinking about it. Was it even possible to be AA more than 4 years before COVID? I wouldn't have thought so, and I was imagining Yosianna being the first followed by a very short list of athletes who were AA all 4 years.
