Incredible effort by our boy Johnny today......he shot -5 (66), a full 10 shot improvement.
He posted Even par for 2 rounds but will still miss the cut by a couple (-2)

Tour moves to Detroit this week for the Rocket Classic, Johnny is in the field.

Nice first day. JK shoots -4 good enough for 13th place.

Keep the pedal down… It's going to be a birdie fest.

Double bogey on hole 2 today sends JK reeling; he's dropped down 54 spots on the leaderboard and is now outside the cut number. Johnny is -2 while the proj cut is at -3, good news is there's still 16 holes to play but JK better crank up the birdie machine if he wants to get back into contention.

JK got it back to even then on the very next hole missed a 3' bogey putt to make a double. Oof. PBFU.

Johnny is scrapping out there. Has gotten his round down to -1 and -5 for the tourney 5 holes left.

Even par 70 today, good considering he carded 2 double bogeys. At -4 total he's T48th headed to the weekend.

3 under (67) today, -7 total has him T40th going to Sunday

No bueno Sunday; 4 over 74 drops JK down to -3 (60th)

Wyndham Championship in North Carolina this week; lots of low 60's already on the board, appears to be a birdie-fest. JK is -1 thru 10 holes, he needs to kick it in gear if he's gonna keep up.

Johnny is at -2 thru 17.5 holes, they called play with JK on the 18th green with a 23 footer for birdie (you'd think he would've finished out). Anyway, -2 is T54th.
