So... my daughter is on the Fairmont State team - D2 school in West Virginia.

They faced Baylor in the semi final, and of course it was no match. But my daughter met and became friends with one of Baylor's bases after the match... they liked each other so much they decided to take a picture together.

That picture worked its way to me and my wife - who instantly realized it was one of my former co-worker's daughters who I hadnt seen in 13 years.

During the final, we met up with Leavy's dad (my good ole co-worker friend) and they went and 'met' Leavy after the final. Leavy couldnt figure it out - why was her new friend with her dad?? Lol. I finally told her - 'Leavy, I'm Taryn's dad - you have actually spent the night at Taryn's house before and we have pictures of yall in pink pajamas together.'

Her mind was blown! Such a 'random' out of nowhere friendship.

Then... my daughter was selected 1st Team All American!! Taryn Laurence, Fairmont State. Well, she goes out there and in alphabetical order - Leavy McDonald is the very next name called out!! So Taryn and Leavy were in the middle of the floor getting their 1st team All American awards just laughing and posing like no one else was around!

Payton got D1 athlete of the year for Baylor. My daughter got D2 Athlete of the year for Fairmont State!!
