Malbec, who do you think can score at the B12 meet that we host in 2018? I say Miller, Windemuller, and Lightfoot.

I think you are on the money, and Miller could score in two events (HEP, HJ). Merrell has a future in the program also. He may not be ready to put up points this season, but I think he will really surprise people.

I was eating at a Rosa's in Lubbock and wearing a Baylor shirt. I was stopped by a young couple and was asked if I went to Baylor. They were Merrell's aunt/uncle. The entire town of Turkey was so proud of him for getting signed by a D1 school.

Signee KC Lightfoot cleared 17' 8" yesterday for the silver medal at the New Balance National Indoor Championships. It'll be fun next year to watch KC and Brandon Richards compete for points at every meet.

KC Lightfoot cleared 18' 3" this weekend!

Quick update on several signees' performance this spring:

Jake Merrell improved his personal record at the Texas Relays with a 4:11.81 in the 1600 (coming in 4th overall).

KC Lightfoot (is there a better name for a track athlete?) jumped 18'3 on April 13. He came in second at the Texas Relays.

Kayla Windemuller (distance) lives in Michigan. No times yet for this spring.

Alyssa Miller set a new pr in high jump coming in 2nd place at Texas Relays with a jump of 5-10.

High jumper Moorea Long has had several jumps of 5-4 this season, one inch below her personal record of 5-5

Mazie Larsen (distance) lives in Nebraska. Her season is just beginning.

Celia Holmes improved her personal record at the Texas relays with a 5:00.21 in the 1600 (coming in 6th overall).
