Your point is youn think you get to decide how news agencies present the news. A crazy woman at a regional airport with a gun doesnt interest as many people as the abortion issue.
You have some strange desire to live in a world where eveeryone prioritizes and thinks like you and act offended when you find over and over again most people dont.
Lol. There is the intellectual dishonesty we all know and love. As another poster pointed out above, you wouldn't admit the double standard if it bit you in the ass.
Point out the dishonesty.
Your point is you think you get to decide how news agencies present the news.
Isnt that what you are upset about? It was covered but not given as much priority as you want.
A crazy woman at a regional airport with a gun doesnt interest as many people as the abortion issue.
Thats a fact Jack.
You have some strange desire to live in a world where eveeryone prioritizes and thinks like you and act offended when you find over and over again most people dont.
You do seem to get upset when someone doesnt act the way you want them to act. Some you call fools and some you just respectfully disagree. When I say "seem" is means its my opinion. You do get in a fuss.
Happy to. My point was not that I should get to decide how news agencies present the news. That's what we would call a "lie." And despite your apropos choice of username, I think you're smart enough to know that was a deliberate mischaracterization of my point.
My point was that there is disproportionate coverage of an event that, despite no deaths, resulted in the shut down of one of the major airports in the U.S. and numerous flight cancellations and delays, which is of course a major news story in and of itself. And yet, it somehow didn't make the front page of most of the major internet outlets.
Anyone paying attention knows that the media - especially the last few years - has a history of devoting a disproportionate amount of coverage to news stories based on race. Hell, just yesterday, Yahoo News ran with a story at the top of its news feed about a police force in a small NC town that resigned because of the hiring of a black city manager.
https://news.yahoo.com/north-carolina-police-force-resigns-142000212.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall. Incredibly, despite presenting no evidence whatsoever that the police officers resigned because of the color of the new city manager's skin (indeed, further digging revealed that they resigned because of the city manager's derogatory public statements about police, among other things), Yahoo was all too happy to attribute the resignations to the fact the new city manager was black. This is what passes for journalism today.
Yet, somehow Yahoo, among other outlets, ran with this story on their front pages, while failing to mention anything about the Love Field shooting which had a major effect on flights throughout the U.S. And let's be honest - a shooting inside an airport is a pretty big news item regardless of whether someone got killed. Yet, you're just not willing to acknowledge the double standard, and would rather pretend it doesn't exist. That is a prime example of your intellectual dishonesty - an inability to admit even the obvious.
As for our discussions, you once again seem to lack the self-awareness to understand the difference between yourself and someone like Canada. You're an admitted troll who likes to post inflammatory things about conservatives to "balance" the board. It's an odd pastime, but so be it. Obviously, responses to your incendiary posts are going to be quite a bit different than they would be to someone who is not a troll and is willing to have an intellectually honest discussion.
