Way too long.

If this had been a white male Trump supporter it would have been all over the News, and we would have heard how white supremacy causes violence over and over on CNN, MSNBC, etc. for a couple of day.

It's stupid and it's silly, but that's how the media reacts today.
Unless it happened at night.

Ah so close little buddy, but you forgot about these: 1) inside the airport, 2) while people were around; 3) shut down airport; 4) delayed hundreds of flights.

But I love that can-do attitude! Keep trying, little guy. You'll convince someone of your narrative eventually!

Where's Oso when you need him?
Of course there were people around. It was right outside a baggage claim where they were disembarking. I won't waste time posting more incidents so you can invent reasons to ignore them. I guess that's what passes for "intellectual honesty" in your world.

Nope. Shooting occurred outdoors. He never entered the airport but was waiting for his estranged wife to get to her car. Wasn't some random shooting.

Almost midnight outdoors outside of a Tulsa baggage claim does not equal daytime inside a Dallas airport at the height of airline travel, my obtuse little friend.

Won't waste time = you got nothing.

Night.
Yeah, that's the same link I posted earlier. Of course it's nothing nearly as dramatic as a black woman firing into the ceiling...

They saw others running back into the airport and took off running, as well. Eaton-Anderson said an officer yelled at them to take cover, so they hid in a men's bathroom alongside another family and began praying.

"We were in a back stall trying to get the kids quiet," said Eaton-Anderson. "We just started whispering and praying and it was just terrifying."

Anderson said she was texting with someone telling them to notify airport officials of where they were and was later told by that person that police had said to go downstairs.

"As we're going, we hear somebody again, 'This level isn't secure and so an airport worker shoved us in the elevator,'" said Eaton-Anderson.

They hid underneath the counters downstairs until a shuttle driver motioned them to come.
Eventually, they were taken to their car and allowed to leave.

Police said Watson had threatened to kill his wife and came to the airport to do that and wasn't deterred when he saw police and started shooting. They say he shot one officer in the vest and Watson was hit in the foot and taken into custody.

We finally agree on something! You're exactly right - a gun battle between two police officers and a jealous husband in a parking garage at midnight outside a Tulsa airport is not even remotely similar to what happened inside Dallas Love Field.

On that concession, I think we can call it a night. Don't worry, you can live to fight another day.

The basic premise that a white male shooter would have generated more media coverage is undeniable .

And with your superior intellect you are certainly aware of the double standard involved .

My only question is why does it amuse you so much to play this same game ?

Maybe you should watch or read CNN.

Dallas airport accused shooter has lengthy criminal record, claimed to be Chris Brown's wife, 'God's prophet'

This was the headline on Fox News.

Its a crazy woman shooting the roof at a regional airport. IMO it got way more coverage than it deserves. There was video coverage of the woman, the officers, the woman getting shot. The discussed the womans past, her mental illness, her claim to be married to James I Feel good Brown. They had multiple pics of her. They talked about everything except how easy it is for a crazy woman with a history to get a gun and ammo.

Love Field is a regional airport huh? That's an interesting take.

And now that your position has been throughly debunked, it's time for that purposeful mischaracterization and dishonesty we all know so well. Your trollish behavior is like clockwork.

Reasonable and honest posters realize that saying the crazy black lady's actions in Dallas received disproportionate attention because of her race in no way constitutes a "justification" of some POS bumpkin's actions in Tulsa. Nice try, troll.

Know thyself, Sam. You've turned into what you used to loathe.

I didn't say you were justifying his actions, I said you were justifying your tribe. That's the only explanation for the mental contortions you're putting yourself through in order to distinguish a sidewalk shooting from one that took place on the other side of a glass door. It's a comically weak bid for "persecuted" status as a white man.

I mistakenly used the word "regional" instead of 'medium'. I dont think it has any imternational flights and 96% of its traffic is Southwest. As another poster stated its a big medium airport. If it doubled in size it would make the list of big airports.

Just to catch you up, a set of posters is upset because, though there were many stories, interviews, videos, pictures and background info, they didnt feel the media did enough to let our nation know that a crazy black woman fired at the ceiling, ranted and raved until police got there, shot her, and took her away. I agree they should have thrown in some James Brown videos but besides that I really dont understand what they should have done.

In all fairness. I think the biggest complaint is that although the incident was covered very well, the media seems to concentrate on issues like abortion, peaceful mobs disrupting gov proceedings and the looming threat of a national recession.

Comically weak would aptly describe the mental contortions you're putting yourself through in order to try and compare a shooting in a parking garage at midnight in Tulsa to a shooting in a busy Dallas airport during the middle of the day that shut down the airport and delayed hundreds of flights across the U.S. The idea that the only difference between the two was a "glass door" is so intellectually dishonest its comical.

Bottom line. if you're honest, is that there is an obvious double standard in how these matters are reported. We see it every time there's a terrorist attack in which the media and authorities are slow to identify key facts, like the terrorist was of Middle-Eastern descent, or shouted Allahu Akbar as he was mowing people down. Yet, we spent the last year and a half hearing about what a huge issue white domestic terrorists and supremacists are, and how they're just waiting in the wings to rape, pillage, and plunder the country. We have hearings and investigations regarding how they have infiltrated our military. The media spends hours of programming on a white kid that justifiably shot a couple of hooligans who tried to take his guns, shoot him and de-brain him. His trial has as much coverage as the OJ Simpson trial. We are told repeatedly that he is most likely a white supremacist. We are told a white high schooler and MAGA supporter insulted a native American at a Washington DC protest, and see open speculation about his motives that basically destroy the kid's life. Yet, we hear hardly a peep when it's a black perp. Hardly anyone knows that Stephen Cannon, the black perp who killed David Dorn at a BLM protest in St. Louis in 2020 was convicted of his murder last week. Stories like that simply aren't deemed newsworthy enough to make the front page.

You used to believe we are in a culture war. It's almost as if you've forgotten.

Let's say I am spinning the Tulsa shooting out of proportion. You're begging the obvious question -- if the media are so hell bent on making white dudes look bad, why couldn't they do the same? Isn't that what they excel at?

Obviously we know what your answer is going to be. The incident was so different that not even the most dedicated propagandists in the most elite media institutions could possibly have made any hay with it. That's just absurd. But you go ahead...we're waiting to hear it.

Stories like that simply aren't deemed newsworthy enough to make the front page.

You used to believe we are in a culture war. It's almost as if you've forgotten.
A lot of what you're saying is true, and it explains why some conservatives might develop a paranoid response to news media. That doesn't change the fact that it is a paranoid response. This is getting similar coverage to similar stories in recent years.
Recognizing an issue and paranoia about an issue are two different things.

We disagree that this story has received the coverage I believe it would have received had this been a white male.

Actually it was in the ticketing and baggage check area.... just for accuracy.
Well, that changes everything...or so Mothra would say. Pretty sure it was the baggage claim though.

My bad. Thought the conversation was still on Love Field.
I understand the confusion. Sam did a google search to find a comparable set of circumstances involving a white dude in a desperate attempt to "debunk" this thread. It's backfired on him, but now in typical Sam form, he just can't let it go or concede his was not an apt comparison.

Again, it's an apple to bowling balls comparison. A domestic dispute that spilled out into the public in the middle of the night in Tulsa. Hard to point to that and support the narrative that mass shooters are white men or white supremacists.
