On the NBC Evening News, Lester Holt and all of his supporting lackeys made a point of referring to the former President as "Mr. Trump". The animus and bias towards the former President has been laid bare for all to see.

I don't recall Mr. Carter, Mr. Clinton, Mr. Bush, or Mr. Obama making the news lately. Passive aggressive middle finger.

Going forward, I will be referring to Mr. Biden. He is not my President and never will be.

Standard operating procedure for the Dems. I remember as a 14 year old kid watching the Ford-Carter debates. Carter called his opponent "Mr. Ford," while Ford consistently referred to Jimmy as "Governor Carter", even though Carter had left office 2 years earlier. In the post-debate analysis, I think it was Eric Severied of CBS who noted "President Ford called his opponent Governor Carter, which he is not, while Carter clearly refused to refer to his opponent as President Ford, which he is."

Former presidents are often addressed flatteringly, although incorrectly, as "President." Trump might be entitled to the same deference -- if he were to hold himself out as a former president.

Don't disagree with you, but I don't think it ever happens for political reasons. The blow back and calls of "banana republic" will cause too much fall out for democrats. And as we know, every action they take has political implications in mind. They will only prosecute if it's politically expedient.
