Well, the Democrats think there are, what, 48 genders or so, Lord only knows how many races they imagine exist.Osodecentx said:

How many races does he have to lose to stop running?
I have a niece who absolutely fell in love with him during the Senate race, went to several events, got her picture taken with him (she's a gorgeous Columbian immigrant, so the staging was great for Beto). Niece is mid-40's, teacher, bleeding heart type, chirpy & upbeat & falls for all the liberal platitudes for all the right reasons. Furthest thing from the angry, intolerant progressives that dominate the scene today.Oldbear83 said:Well, the Democrats think there are, what, 48 genders or so, Lord only knows how many races they imagine exist.Osodecentx said:

That is, from one perspective Beto has lost:
A race for Senate
A race for President
A race for getting his fiction published
A race to be favorably compared to the Kennedies
A race to have better dental attractiveness than the British
A race to be more debonair than Don Knotts
A race to appear more intelligent than a fifth-grader
A race to become the most popular poster here at SicEm365 after hacking into a certain member's account
The guy just can't win

When she started gushing about Beto posturing to run for POTUS in 2019, I told her she should write him a letter asking him not to do it....that he couldn't win the primary and would be better served keeping his powder dry for the 2022 Gov race......that he's a great candidate, can raise money and fire up the Democrat base but the POTUS primary would drag him so far left that it would make him unelectable for anything in Tx.
And here we are....

Sounds like the carnival at the state fair. If Beto spends enough $$, he'll get a plush toy for showing off.Canada2017 said:

Sounds like John Sharp. Lost election after election.Oldbear83 said:Sounds like the carnival at the state fair. If Beto spends enough $$, he'll get a plush toy for showing off.Canada2017 said:

Marfa would look like San Francisco's Tenderloin District in no time. Of course the locals would conserve water by never having to flush their toilets again, which would create an industry of selling Marfa poop maps to tourists (silver lining).Rawhide said:

A former law partner of mine is a prominent Dem election lawyer. He worked for another campaign but was a huge Beto fan and raised a lot of money for his run against Cruz. He said Beto of course has core followers, and they are still crazy in love, but it's mostly folks who follow from a distance. He said all the internal polling and focus groups showed that Beto's numbers tanked b/c the more folks followed him the more they felt he was just plain weird, inauthentic, and like a teenager who never grew up. In other words, like no other candidate, the more voters knew about him, the less they liked him - again, outside of the groupies. The selfies and self-videos, the loner road trip after his big loss, the star worship. He said he's never seen approval numbers tank like Beto's did.

That I believe. What I don't understand is women thinking that guy is attractive. I bet the core of his base is women 18-45.

You wouldn't believe the number of soccer moms who swoon for him on facebook. it's embarassing
Today I confronted @BetoORourke at a rally in Dallas—
— Tayler Hansen (@TaylerUSA) November 4, 2022
I asked him if he would “Disavow surgery for trans kids”.
In response, I was choked by his supporters and thrown to the ground. They pulled me backwards over someone in a wheel chair. pic.twitter.com/RxTgrukpPM
Fortunately, my daughter and her friend group think he's creepy.Redbrickbear said:Jack Bauer said:nein51 said:sombear said:
