WASHINGTON The Biden administration admitted Thursday it had asked Saudi Arabia to delay the OPEC+ vote to cut oil production until the cartel's next meeting after the midterm elections.

"We presented Saudi Arabia with analysis to show that there was no market basis to cut production targets, and that they could easily wait for the next OPEC meeting to see how things developed," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said in a statement.

The Riyadh-led group of oil producers' next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 4, according to the OPEC website.
Kirby also alleged that other OPEC member nations "communicated to us privately that they also disagreed with the Saudi decision, but felt coerced to support Saudi's direction,"

The White House was responding to a Wednesday night statement from the Saudi foreign ministry hitting back at Washington's accusation that it had taken sides with Russia in Moscow's war against Ukraine.

The ministry insisted the move by OPEC+ to reduce production by 2 million barrels per day beginning next month was made in "a purely economic context."

Isn't this as bad as Trump's supposed Ukraine call? Saying there will be consequences for not delaying until after midterms? Dems, where are you? Why aren't you Jan 6th guys all over this?

It's worse. Trump supposedly wanted to root out the now-known corruption related to Burisma and the Biden Crime Family. Biden is asking a foreign government to actively intervene in a U.S. election. As usual, this is actual example of the Russia Hoax fever dream fantasy.

"China Joe"

When the sun comes up on a senile ol' man
Down around Rehoboth
And the folks are risin' for another day
Tryingh to 'rouse Old Joe

The people of the clan are strange
But they're proud of where they came
Well, you're talkin' 'bout China Joe
Oh, China Joe

Well, the father and the daughter
Lord, they're a showerin'
They are the talk of the town
When the gossip gets to flyin'
You know they ain't lyin'
When the son goes fallin' down

They say that the father's insane
And dear Ukraine's a game
We're talkin' 'bout the China Joe
Oh, China Joe

But every day there's a new thing comin'
The ways of an Oriental view
The Pres and his buddies
With their samurai swords
'No one ****s with a Biden, allright'

And though it's not in the Constitution
People don't seem to care
They just keep on lookin' to the East

Talkin' 'bout the China Joe
Oh, China Joe

Correct. We have GOT to get past the "impeach!" That is occurring in every presidency right now.

The bar should be VERY high. We are getting perilously close to calling for impeachment of every president going forward.

Not J6 "sake of democracy" which is a farce but true to God democracy.

"Because they did it" doesn't work, it doesn't work if you have kids, it doesn't work if you break the law because your neighbors did it first and it damn sure doesn't work for the President of the United States.

I do agree with the Social Media aspect. It has skewed the media impacts greatly. I just don't know if it represents as much of the population as they would have you believe, especially in terms of reliable news or information.

For example, Email has become a marketing tool. Most of what I receive is garbage. Social media is worse

Second. I am a strong proponent of respecting the polity and protocols of the government, but that is not the world in which we live. When one party cares little for precedent, polity, or protocol and simply will do anything for power it becomes a march toward authoritarianism.

As I can recall, it probably started with China Joe and the Bork SCOTUS nomination. That is when political litmus tests were introduced to the confirmation process where not had been present before.

That pattern has continued whereby Democrats change the written and unspoken rules and care little for precedent in order to retain power. An example was Harry Reid and the filibuster for judges. It continues with packing the SCOTUS, disregarding election laws, etc.

The radicalized Democratic Party born of the late 1960s has little interest in anything but power and control and little regard for the people or polity.

By the rules they set, China Joe should be removed from office for attempting to collude with foreign actors to influence a U.S. election. It's not complicated.

I do agree with you and for the sake of democracy it needs to stop, but both sides need to stop for it to actually save democracy.

Then you let them show their asses and continue to point out that is what they are doing. It becomes a case of the boy who cried wolf (for the record we are already there; see also J6 vs French Fry prices). People stop caring quickly.

Reality is that there's about 3-5% of both parties that are just fringe lunatics. They are MASSIVELY over represented in social media which is how a huge chunk of people consume their news.

Let's see what gen pop says here in about 30 days.
With an impartial media that might work. We do not have an impartial media. Not even close.

It's already working. You're just so connected you can't see it. Again; see also; J6 vs the price of fries.

People don't care about J6 at all unless they are extremists. The general public doesn't care at all. Let the Democrats make all the bluster they want about it. It's wasted time and energy and makes them blind to the issues people do care about.
Your forgetting the fbi and doj serve as the Democratic Party's Schutzstaffel. Rulings from the sham J6 hearings will be treated as Gospel.

Yes they will…by the 3-5% of extremists. The 90% won't know or care what outcome.

By Democrat standards Biden should have been impeached about 10 times by now.

Everyone except the worst hyper partisan is angry about this obvious, self serving garbage by Biden

Striking as it does right in their gas tanks .

Dems are going to need even bigger efforts with their 'voter harvesting'.

That is what scares me the most, vote harvesting.

Do you think there will be more water maintenance breaks so they can figure how many votes they need?

What's stopping them? Nothing. Don't bother campaigning, just hire more mules.

They're already planning to subvert election laws AGAIN:

Another example of Democrats destroying institutions and polity for power.

If State AG's can just set aside SCOTUS rulings what is the purpose of the judicial system?

Nationwide there has been a completely muted response from the general public in regards to the flagrant abuses of the DOJ and FBI against white conservatives .

No riots, no protests, no nothing .

So the Dems are simply going to keep pushing .....whatever it takes.

They don't dare lose control of power now.......there would be immediate recriminations via congressional investigations chaired by Republicans .

What I fear the most is if the win both, they will do away with the Filibuster and grant Amnesty to all those illegals. GOP will not win an election for a long time.

The judicial system according to the authoritarian progressives is to do "the will of the people" by which they define "what we want."
