Ramaswamy and Elder will elevate the conversation.

Hutchinson will just try to tell us all the reasons why we can't do what we need to do.

Trump won't pledge to support the Republican nominee. Should he be allowed to debate?

Not inviting the front runner to a debate is exactly the kind of nonsense that feeds his support.

Fine by me. Why should Trump be treated like everyone else?
Like him or not, nobody gets mistreated like Trump.

Therefore Trump gets to mistreat everyone?
oh boo hoo. can you show us where he has hurt you?

well, there's a long list of qualifiers and accomplishments too, but now you're changing the subject.

how has he mistreated you, or any other candidate any worse than he's been mistreated with patently political indictments and investigations, etc....made up by neverTrumpers you now hang with?

I understand he's your boss and you are the establishment, but the majority of Americans are tired of the chaos. If you think you can win 2024 with out independents and moderates, head on. You believe Biden is so bad people will vote for a candidate who campaigns by saying "well, I'm not Biden". Biden will be campaigning by saying "well, I'm not Trump".

Trump won't support the Republican nominee if it isn't Trump, but you'll be screaming at us to support Trump.

LOL. I'm not screaming at anyone to support anyone.

Your post is an excellent example of how unhinged neverTrumperism really is. If one doesn't agree with them that Trump is Satan 2.0, one is simultaneously "the establishment" (the beating heart of neverTrumpism in the GOP) and a fervent megaMAGA-head.

The irony is, neverTrumpers are more unreasonable and emotion-driven than any MAGA-hat wearer I've ever seen, a great big slithering snaky ball of contradictions.

Example: I have pledged to support the GOP nominee, no matter who it is. YOU WILL NOT, yet you criticize Trump for not doing so.

LOL.......you're just like him in so many ways.

If you're not a Republican, why do you care about those Senate seats where you do not live? or who won the Presidential race? You virtue postured by voting third party, so you're better than us, right? So why would it bother you that someone else might also choose to go third party? Seems like such would be exactly your kind of guy.

I have an impeccable record of playing with others after the fight, and I think the pledge is pretty dumb. Just something else to virtue posture about ahead of time. Multi-candidate races happen a lot and everyone takes the pledge, but few ever make an appearance to help the winner. You can pledge all you want to but what matters is whether or not you show up for the fight. And we know where you'll be.

I generally want a conservative senate over a Schumer led senate. I'm surprised you don't care as much. I've never voted for a third party candidate, but I'm surprised you promote it. I'm not surprised though that an Always Trumper like yourself is already laying the predicate for your 2024 vote for the MAGA third party effort.

Trump has done more to destroy trust in America and democracy than anyone in recent memory. I know you are one of the "mean tweets LOL" gang but rhetoric does matter. That is his main sin, trying to divide Americans, constantly slandering anyone who doesn't support him, promoting a horrible lifestyle.

It might be too much to ask, but maybe could we elect someone that in at least 1 way, a young person could look up to? Trump is not it. He had his shot and made it clear he'd torch the Constitution if it meant money and power.

LOL.......you're just like him in so many ways.

Astounding bit of projection there. Democrats divide the country up into immutable identities real and imagined, then call anyone who disagrees with them a threat to democracy - racist, sexist, this-or-that-aphobe, election denier (the 2020 version, not the 2016 version), Russian asset, disinformation conspiracy nut (on stuff that usually proves out to be true), anti-vaxxer, etc..... Oh, what's that word the great unifier used to describe 45% of the population? Yeah...proto-fascist. But they're your posse, Team "My Politics Are Virtuous and Yours Is Not," and it make you feel better than others, so it's all good.

Youth is an attribute for a lot of things, but the course of human history demonstrates that age & experience is an advantage in leadership. But some people do manage to arrive at middle age having missed a lot of the lessons, and for them there is the Democrat Party who will hand out meme sheets for everyone to follow.

Rod Dreher:

[Arkansas governor Hutchinson is displaying the usual Republican lapdog-of-Big-Business instinct. In 2015, he didn't have the guts to stand up to Walmart when the woke capitalist behemoth, which is headquartered in Arkansas, asked him to veto the state version of the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which would have extended modest religious liberty protections under state law, as the 1993 RFRA had done under federal law. Hutchinson did Walmart's bidding, like a good normie Republican, but he also lacked the courage to do a full veto; instead, he just refused to sign it, and the bill died. A week or two earlier, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence backtracked on Indiana's RFRA after the woke capitalist mob came down on his head.

Both men are running for president now. Neither man deserves your vote. We know that in the end, when the pressure is on, that they will stand with Big Business. I'm not a lawyer, so I don't know if Ron DeSantis's strategy against Disney is legally sound. He might lose. But I am extremely impressed that he had the guts to take on Florida's largest employer, and tell it to stay in its damned lane when it comes to legislation that would protect Florida schoolchildren from being propagandized for gender ideology. Hutchinson, Pence, and Nikki Haley all three of whom are running for president have all come out against DeSantis for opposing Disney. This is revealing. If Woke Capitalism ordered them all to jump, they would bleat, "How high?"]
