Regardless of what you personally think about Trump - compared to Biden - just look at the difference in the mental acuity, the sharpness, and the toughness displayed in handling a 70 minute town hall on a network that hates him with a moderator hell bent on making him look bad - which he knocked out of the park. Who thinks dementia Joe could do an unscripted town hall on Fox News in front of an audience and make it two minutes without making an absolute blithering fool of himself??
Yeah, he knocked it out of the park, especially given that the moderator's job was to trap him and make him look bad - and she got rolled bigly, plus the audience loved it. What I believe many "Trumpers" (I only use that to differentiate from Conservatives not fans, not a value statement) fail to realize is that the 2016 and even 2020 election Trump was different than the Trump we saw post-election and today.
In 2016 he was looking to make deals and get things done. He believed he could cross the aisle and cut a deal that everyone would win.
In 2020 he was still trying to do his job and even showed during the BLM riots that he respected the Constitution by NOT using Federal troops in State matters and not using the Federal Govt for State health and welfare. I actually respected him for that.
When he lost, something snapped and he went off the rails. Jan 6th rally and what followed was last straw, that was UNACCEPTABLE. We don't do that in the US, we don't storm the Capital like some third world banana republic. This version of Trump is a dark, almost Fascist, and vindictive version. All his worst traits are coming out. He used to have a sense of humor, look for ways to get things done and have vision. Sorry, since November 2020 that guy is gone.
That is why I voted for him in 2016 and 2020, but can't again. Not same guy.
