I know people who rarely go to Church , don't follow the Ten Commandments, have little understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ, and live an overwhelmingly narcissistic lifestyle.
Yet they insist they are going to heaven when they die because they are 'spiritual'; a 'good' person.
A few even refer to themselves as Christians .
Yes, and are racist and homophobes too.
Was Paul a racist homophobe? Are you better at theology that Paul? This question begs the question -- is there a commonly accepted theology of Paul?
It is about historical context.
So theology changes according to historical context?
Pretty sure Jesus and the Bible would STRONGLY disagree.
How could you be a Christian and not understand the whole point of Jesus was that he changed theology? JFC
Jesus didn't change theology.
Jesus himself clarified this.
He did NOT come to do away with the law, but to fulfill the law and to bring the new covenant.
Regardless, Waco has NO authority to change theology based upon context.
