He's wrong on many things, but not on that. Trump won in 2016 in large part because of "Reagan Democrats" in the rust belt.

His candidacy is fascinating. I wonder if he would have more success as an independent though.

Nut or not he is one of very few Democrats I could willingly support.

He's not a nut. He's right and if he has a platform he will scare to death the establishment.

That's the only way he gets in the ballot.

The real question is, who will his 3rd party candidacy harm most? Not sure yet what is the answer.

Democrats seem to be fighting No Labels movement the most. I assume that means it helps Trump at the expense of Biden.

So far, we have meditation where it's reported he speaks to the dead.

Many people have different views of their relationship (or lack there of) with the dead. A friend of mine lost her mom this morning. She said her mom is now looking down on her family watching out for them. Is she nuts, normal, struggles expressing herself…?

What nutty views does he have regarding policy? What views does he have that would impact the economy, the balance of power etc

Some atheists, such as old dbag Ronnie here, think all religious people are nuts. The irony is, they fail to grasp the fact that a belief that complex life forms came from inanimate matter is about as illogical and absurd as they come.

Did a Kennedy just say something about the middle class? Like he would know middle class? They still live in the Hamptons or Kennebunkport?

What's crazy is a guy like him is "right wing" to some Democrats. His family essentially defined liberal elite for a century.

Having a conversation with a dead person means you are nuts, regardless of religious views. This isn't debatable.

Something to think about, for sure.

What about nutty ideas, nutty policies?

If I look back at all the presidents, only Truman would be someone I could relate to if that is what is required to be my president. I have nothing in common with any of our past presidents. I also don't see that as a requirement to earn my support.

So tell me about nutty ideas or, maybe good ideas.

Depends on how you define "conversation". Let's say you had a grandparent whom you were very close to who spoke to you often and gave you words of wisdom. Some day when you are facing a challenging situation you think to yourself, "What would X say about this right now?"

You go through past conversations you had, different pieces of advice, and you think about what they might say to you now about whatever is troubling you now, even though the two of you never had a conversation about this exact issue.

I could call that having a conversation with my grandparents if I wanted to.

Why would anyone debate him? If his name wasn't Kennedy he'd be less interesting than "The Rents Too Damn High" guy.

Honestly, who wants Jimmy McMillian to be president?

Jimmy McMillian has better foreign policy than RFK Jr.

This will unite the Palestinians and the Israelis.

I just said what one possibility was - processing through an issue with lessons learned from a loved one, possibly in a mental conversational style.

Has Kennedy stated exactly what he means when he says "talking with the dead?" Grief processing (considered healthy by mental health professionals), problem solving techniques, communing, seance, what?

As I said, it kind of depends on what he means when he says it. Is it euphemism or is it literal for him?

Edit:
https://amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jun/01/robert-kennedy-jr-president-candidate-conspiracy

"In a follow-up text," the Free Press said, Kennedy clarified: "They are one-way prayers for strength and wisdom. I get no strategic advice from the dead."
